Reply:The best thing to do is to start working on your inner self. Are you drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water every day?? Eat a healthy diet and stop soda %26amp; sugar. Get exercise every day.Make sure you get a multi-vitamin and taking cod liver oil capsules help a lot with the dry skin. After two to three weeks of this, you should notice a difference in your hair %26amp; your skin. Good Luck
Reply:try purpose face bar. its pretty good.....
Reply:I have tons of advice. The best is please dont over dry your skin with harsh products. Use a mild cleanser.

If you can afford it get a facial.

If not, that is okay. Here are some steps to take if you can't get a facial.

1) Get a good clay mask. I can recommend some if you need.

2) Invest in a face steamer ($19)

3) Get a good gentle exfoliation cream (la therapie is my fave)

4) add moisture to your skin with a simple moisturizer (cetaphil moisturizer is the simplest)

5) Lots of water

6) sleep with a humidifier

7) cetaphil cleanser is a must have
Reply:Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. But don't worry, so many people including myself have gone through that. This is what I do to help my skin stay clear. I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to wash my skin. I use a gentle toner like Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner to thoroughly cleanse my skin of oil, makeup, etc. Then I moisturize with Aveeno Clear Skin Daily Lotion with Soy Active. At night, if i feel a pimple coming up, I dab on Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment BP 2.5%. Then sometimes during the week, I use Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask as a Mask on my skin. That's it! and I have had amazing results. These are products that are all available at drug stores and relatively affordable compared to other stuff I've heard people using.

The important thing to remember is to BE GENTLE WITH YOUR SKIN. I use to think that if i wash it with medicated stuff that acne would get better. No it doesn't. my skin just got more irritated, leading to more break outs and a vicious cycle that continues year after year. But now I treat my skin gently, and it has done better than anything i've used previously.

The Cetaphil, I am on my 6th bottle. I know that it will feel like heavy water at first, but it really does a great job of gentle cleaning. Then if you are a girl, and have makeup on that you don't feel that Cetaphil removed completely, use the gentle toner to take off the remaining stuff. And try not to wear foundation too much. I never do, just concealer. And one last thing, for the Benzoyl Peroxide, use 2.5% never 10% because 10% will over irritate your skin, doing more damage than it helps.

Hope that helps you.
Reply:I have been making simple, all natural soaps for several years. I have a natural soap company called "Katherine Leslie Soaps".

Cleansing is often confusing because most commercial "facial", or "shower" bars are entirely or partially "detergent". This is why they are not called "soap" bars. Soap is made from vegetable, or animal oils, while detergents are made from petroleum. Detergents are wonderful for scrubbing oil off your driveway, but quite harsh to skin.

Real soap made from natural oils is very gentle. When soap molecules form, a natural moisturizing substance, glycerin, is formed right along with them. Commercial soap companies often remove the glycerin from their soap. What do they do with the glycerin they remove? Well, many things. Glycerin is an incredibly smooth lubricant used by several industries. The glycerin is also sold as a separate product. If you go to the drug store and buy a bottle of vegetable glycerin, you will probably be holding what was removed from some commercial soap. If you check lotion ingredients, you will find that glycerin is a very common ingredient. The industry tends to remove the glycerin from soap and then sell it back to us again in the lotion we need after using one of their soaps from which it was taken.

Katherine Leslie Soaps never remove the natural glycerin from our soaps. My customers report a greatly reduced need for lotions, and some have stopped needing any at all.

Bathing should not leave us feeling like our skin has shrunken a size. With regular use, you can know clean skin that is not "tight" and dry feeling. I personally have used only Katherine Leslie Soaps ever since I experienced the difference several years ago. I have some areas that had always been prone to dry skin in the winter, they are a problem no more. I think glycerin within soap, as it naturally occurs, has made a big difference.

Soap is only for cleansing and can't do the work of a good diet and general overall health. You may have needs that are in other areas than only the cleansing product you use. Skin problems don't find their solutions overnight. But a gentle natural soap with it's glycerin intact is certainly a step in the right direction.
