Skin discoloration problems.?

Every time my skin reacts to just about all types of chemicals, or getting too dry i get these brown blotches that make me look like a freaking potato. Is there a product i can use that will work but won't dent my wallet?

I am a Latina, light skin but not pale and don't tan easily.

any suggestions would be nice!
Skin discoloration problems.?
I would try a skin bleaching creme. Try Ambi or any drugstore brand. It doesn't have to be expensive.
Skin discoloration problems.?
The bare mineral makeup covers it nicely without the look of over doing your make-up.
Reply:I would suggest Ambi Fade cream. It's reasonably priced and i have seen it mentioned in several leading beauty magazines, namely Allure.

But if you say your skin reacts to chemicals, would it be smart to use a potentially harsh product on your face? Maybe you shoudl consider a yogurt face mask instead.

Skin problems?

we've got a boxer/lab/rednose pit and she's got really bad skin problems. she is losong hair in different parts of her body that she chews at and has scabs behind her ears. what can i use to help her skin heal and get better?
Skin problems?
You should bring your dog to the vet. If this is just dry skin - no big deal - you can try human and/or holistic remedies if you like. It could also be allergies. We had a dog that had allergies that caused this and we treated him with benadryl at the vet's suggestion and at the vet's recommended dosage. But there could be some sort of parasite causing this condition and the longer you wait the worse it will get. I could also be caused by a staph infection that could be contagious. You definitely want to cure that with proper antibiotics ASAP. Just bring her to the vet (even if only this one time) for a proper diagnosis so that you will know what is causing this problem- and if it isn't anything too severe you can freely treat it on you own if it recurs.

You can try a moisturizing shampoo. Also try to put ointment on her scabs. I've put Band-aid brand antibiotic cleanser on my dog's cuts and scrapes. My Dalmation is always getting scrapes somewhere!

If her skin is really bad maybe your vet can give her a special ointment but it will be costlier than the "human kind".

Skin getting darker?

Over the past couple of teenage years i've noticed my pale white skin color getting slightly darker for no apparent reason. Now is this normal for some peoples skin to get darker permenentaly over time? I also have some black grandparents down the line, could these genes be the reason?
Skin getting darker?
when one ages, skin color tends to get darker because the sun is the no. 1 cause for sun damage and tanning, more so if you're an active outdoor person.. if genes were the attributes, it should have shown a long time ago.

Skin problem?

Ok, i have this weird skin problem. My skin is constantly itchy, especially at night and when scratch it or even barely scrape it, i break out into hive looking marks. they are puffy and red and normally last for about 20 mins before fading. Does anyone have any idea of what is happening? and has this happened to anyone else? oh, and what causes it? any info will help. thank you so much for the help.

PS: this has only been happening for about the last year.
Skin problem?
That's because of the changes in weather, probably.

Or your reaction to something.

I used to get that, too.

It's exzema. That is more than likely not the correct spelling.

I was given Neosporin to put on it.

It helps a lot. It relieves the itching.
Skin problem?
it could be a change in soap or laundry soap

How to take care of my skin??

i have oily skin...what kind of skin care should i use?? i was told to try a toner but without alcohol! but any toner that i find thats withut alcohol is not for oily skin! what kind of effect will the alcohol in skin care products have on my skin in thelong run? will it age earlier or so??im 20 years old! thanx a lot
How to take care of my skin??
go to dermologica.com and order dermal clay cleanser, multi-activ toner and oil control lotion, also check out jane iredale make-up, get absense to go under your make-up to keep the oil from making your face shiny
How to take care of my skin??
I have oily skin also but I have found that Mary Kay Timewise 3n1 for comb/oily skin works great and also their deep cleanser and oil control lotion is great! I have been using it for 10 years
Reply:Relax about aging! It's been proven that people with oily skin age slower than people with dry/normal skin!

I have oily skin too and Im also 20! I have tried loads of cleansers toners and moisturisers but the best one I have used and still use is the Yonka range. The website is www.yonka.com. They have a great toner for normal - oily skin with no alcohol and it makes your skin feel so clean!

See if your beautician stocks it and what she recommends. Ask for a few samples too.

Anyone else pregnant having skin issue's ?

Hi everyone I just wanted to ask I'm a few days away from going into my second trimester. All of a sudden like literally over night my skin has gotten really rough and blotchy, and red and breaking out. I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I mean before I got pregnant I had few break outs here and there and the occasional dry skin patch but never this nasty red blotchy skin all over my face, oh and all of a sudden these really dark circles under my eyes and I'm getting enough sleep. Anyone else going through this or went through this? Anyway to help clear and even, and smooth my skin back?
Anyone else pregnant having skin issue's ?
yes yes yes i am 19 weeks and thats sounds just like me talking!! what i have is Savlon to dry out the pimples and this other cream that you apply to dry skin i dont know what it is called but they just gave it to me in the Pharmacy! just go ask them adn they will give you all the right products, make sure you tell them you are pregnant

as for the eyes if you are still feeling tired then after getting enough sleep you may need to take iron tablets but you have to see you LMC first
Anyone else pregnant having skin issue's ?
More hormones are kicking in. Wash your face more often and I use an apricot scrub to help with the break outs. You may also want to get a lotion specifically designed for your face that will not clog your pores but will moisturize.
Reply:ohhhh my goodness girl let me tell you what..I soo feel ya...I am pregnant with my 5th and ohh my god I am like having such the same issue...I wish I could tell ya what would help, but I havent really found anything. I know anti bacterial stuff they say helps.
Reply:I didn't have what you have, but my skin is now allergic to lotions after my pregnancy! I know that's a symptom of pregnancy, what you described. Sorry, it should go away after your pregnancy!
Reply:my step mom does so no worries!
Reply:use skin moisturizer, cocoa butter

Do you have light skin, tan skin, dark skin or medium skin?

I have tan skin!

I'm so pale, but it works on me.

Light to medium. I love all shades of skin!

Reply:wow!? what a question, mine is a bit pale at the moment cause it's winter here, but tan in the summer

How can you make skin "glow"?

I have used skin care products that have made my skin clear, but what should i use to make my skin glow? I what my skin to be radiant, not just clear...
How can you make skin "glow"?
Drink lots of water, good skin starts from the inside out.
How can you make skin "glow"?
I use that gritty apricot facial scrub in the shower, and it does a nice job...I also use a facial product made from the mud of the Dead Sea in Israel on occasion. It is also quite beneficial.
Reply:apart from the soo many products available for your skin, i think to have a healthy and glowing skin u must drink loads of water and eat looooads of fruits. fruits are known to have enzymes that even fight skin cancer. u could look up on google search for various products available online and look up the science pages for value of the different fruits that are available.
Reply:dip yourself in radioactive material
Reply:This is a little on the extreme side but if you were to get pregnant I have personally noticed that alot of pregnant women glow
Reply:Drink lots of water and eat foods high in anti-oxidants, like nuts, seeds, broccoli and brussel sprouts. Avoid sugars and processed, refined foods. Exfoliate your face gently once per week, and consider an at-home microdermabrasion or glycolic acid peel (Oil of Olay has a product that combines these two treatments). Moisturize with a light-reflecting lotion and avoid matte-finish foundations, concealers and powders.
Reply:Use a shimmer or highlight face product. You can by these at most any place that sells makeup. They usually come in matte or powder forms. I just apply a little to my cheekbones and under my eyebrow to reflect light and I think it makes me look "glowy."

Here is a list of some shimmer/highlight products. I reccommend the neutrogena kind.

If you get a skin graft do you go home the same day?

If you get a skin graft do you go home the same day?

Ive got a burn that may need a skin graft and around it was a little burn i sustained close to it but that has kinda healed but i think it is infected. Would they send me home the same day if their is an infection near the skin graft? and also would they do a skin graft if an area near the burn is infected? or would they wait for the infection to heal before they do it
If you get a skin graft do you go home the same day?
Depending on the size of the graft if it is a small place as big as a .50 cent piece probably out patient very large it will take a few hours of surgury plus the fact that you will have to be watched for infection and rejection. I had graft when I was a child and spent a long time in the hospital but grafting has come a long way since then. They will clear up any infection before grafting unless the lack of a graft is life threatning
If you get a skin graft do you go home the same day?
Probably not. Skin grafts are amazingly fragile. They can easily be torn. The skin used for grafts is so thin, you can read a newspaper through it. It needs time to set and grow.
Reply:They would probably get rid of the infection before they begin any graft process.

And no, you would not go home. The graft has to take the the body, or better yet, the body has to accept the graft and it begins to grow. It will take time for this to heal and be sure its free from infection.

Skin question?

Okay, so ever since I can remember (even in my baby pictures!) my skin has been weird. My legs are pale, but not very pale, and this still happens when I'm tan anyway. So, my skin randomly gets like blotchy maybe? I can't really explain it. It's kind of like what it would look like if you could see all my blood vessels, but they're not my blood vessels. It happens at random times. I remember usually at the beginning of gym class when I was little it would always happen. A lot of times when I get warmed up it starts to disappear. Does ANYONE have ANY idea what I'm talking about or how to help?
Skin question?
What you are describing sounds like livedo reticularis. This is condition that is not harmful. In some situations it can be related to some diseases of the connective tissue such as lupus or mixed connective tissue disease, but these are the more rare events. These diseases can be ruled out by a simple blood test. You should go see your dermatologist to get the blood tests done.

Good Luck!

Your Friendly Dermatologist.

Skin undertone question: most lipstick shades turn orange on me?

I have very pale, rosey skin. I have freckles and hazel eyes that are a little golden and not really dark or pale. My natural hair color is a very dark ash blonde.

I have to be careful about what shades of lipstick I wear because most of them turn orange. I have to wear very neurtral colored lipstick, preferably creamy or metalic earth tones.

What kinds of clues does this give as to my skin undertone or "season"?
Skin undertone question: most lipstick shades turn orange on me?
You and me both, looks like we just ate speghetti huh? I found alot of great colors from avon that dont turn orange and also you can put some of your liquid cover up on your lips then put on the lipstick.
Skin undertone question: most lipstick shades turn orange on me?
I'd say you were warm but, I don't know about the season. Maybe an Autumn?

My dog has a skin breakout... almost like a "chicken pox" type of thing it seems... what is it?

She seems to be acting like she feels fine... but all along her stomach and even a little in her ears the skin is broken almost like chicken pox in humans... it's not that dense on her skin though... but there are several red spots that almost look like broken skin...

this just occured in the past day and I just had her vacinated... I've heard of other dogs that have skin breakouts after vacinations before and maybe it's just that simple?

anyone familiar with this sort of thing? I was going to call the vet tomorrow and ask him anyway... but I was just wondering?
My dog has a skin breakout... almost like a "chicken pox" type of thing it seems... what is it?
Sounds like an aleegic reaction to the shots. Take her to the vet and he can prescibe something to help/
My dog has a skin breakout... almost like a "chicken pox" type of thing it seems... what is it?
Probablly reaction to shots I'd call the vet asap
Reply:Calling your vet is the best But my dog has had a similar case I think. Do those pox look like red bumps? These red bumps grow under my dog’s chin and on his elbows and some on his belly. We took him to the vet and the vet gave us antibiotics. She told us it was “dog acne”.

The antibiotics helped and the bumps have gone away.

But since you mentioned that your dog just got vaccinated it may be some sort of allergic reaction.
Reply:Call the vet and ask to play it safe. Could just be the vaccination doing it's thing, could be an allergy. One of my dogs has an allergy, that makes her break out, and scratch. Hope you find out...Good Luck!
Reply:Sounds like hives. My oldest chihuahua once broke out like that (the only things I had done differently was the shampoo I'd used and I had wormed him). I gave him a little Benedryl (about 1/2 teaspoon of kids liquid benedryl for a 7 pound dog). It cleared it up for him. But then I'd already known by that point that this dog has allergies so I had no problem using an antihistamine on him.

As for her vaccinations, they are most likely the culprit. You can give her some bendryl tonight and call the vet tomorrow (as long as her reaction doesn't get any worse). Make sure your vet knows she has had a reaction so you both know what to do with her the next time (he may have you give bendryl before the next vaccination or you may not have to give her any more).

Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I need help.?

I am 20 years old, and have light tan skin. I have extremely Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I have suffered from folliculitis and many times after I shave my legs turn red and bumpy. Soon I will have laser hair removal done, but for now I need something. After I shave my skin itches for days. Right now I am using St. Ives Extra Dry Skin Lotion but I am still itching. Any advice, tips or suggestions are accepted (no oily lotions please).

Thank you so much
Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I need help.?
I recommend Aveeno skin care products. I use all their products from facial moisturizer, body lotion and soap. I suggest that you use unscented products since you have follicultis. The fragrance is the culprit for the itchiness!
Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I need help.?
contact a dermatologist.
Reply:Try putting some baby oil in the bath, and then have a nice relax in the tub.
Reply:my skin calms down after using thermal water

i prefer avene but there more other firms: vichy, uriage, bioderma

i also use every day an emollient cream to prevent eczemas
Reply:I agree with Sally, try some baby oil.
Reply:I use straight jojoba oil, when shaving, it's a nourishing, non-greasy oil. It holds moisture in, and is good to use directly after shower too. I have dry sensitive skin too, in the winter time, I also use Aveeno, menthol lotion. It cools the itch right away!! It's awesome!!
Reply:do not shave your legs, or avoid it for a few days. grow the hairs to 2mm and then wax them instead of shaving. in the meantime go to the chemist and ask for aqueous cream, and use that instead of cream and soap. it is quite thick and if you mix it with water it makes a good fragrance free and soap free 'soap'. The St Ives could be irritating you if you are very sensitive as it may contain fragrances and chemicals.
Reply:The only thing that works for me is Aveeno lotion with oatmeal. It is a beige with green on it and it is the only thing I use because it is not oily and is for sensitive skin. It can be expensive, so I use the Walmart brand and it is awesome.
Reply:Baby oil works wonders! After you shave, run a warm bath, nothing major, even just a few cups worth....and rinse yourself off. Don't dry off, rather pat yourself off if you don't want to 'air dry'. I would recommend Jergen's lotions. The others are not bad recommendations, but I am speaking from my personal experience. I am 21, hispanic, female, and I had your problem with really dry skin. As for the folliculitis, I am sure you have tried many products, so I don't know what to tell you about that. Have you tried St. Ives Medicated(not the lotion, the face wash...works on all parts of the body)? It's inexpensive and I know it helped my brother, he had that.
Reply:Try "Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy." It's dermatologist recommended Look for the words "Plus Intensive Repair Lotion" on the bottle or tube. I buy it at Wal*Mart, but they sell it most everywhere. Good luck!
Reply:Eucerin or Avenno work great. I have very dry sensitive skin

I now use and sell Mary Kay and of course would recommend those too but that's what I used before oh and Luburdurm (sp)lotion worked okay too. See if they have website sometime they will send you samples or coupons.
Reply:Dry skin is a big thing. One of the problem is because we wash in chlorinated water everyday. Chlorine is a bleaching agent and it strips away the natural skin oil. All the cream and lotion we put on is not the same and it is a after application. I do have dry skin myself and I use shower filter. It really help is you case is same as mine. Use shower filter and also apply the cream to see it that works. I myself uses shower filter and finds it to work for me, but still I use cream.

Skin care in the sun?

i am going to florida for 3 weeks and have never spent so much time in the sun before and will probably be in the sun all day, every day. my skin is very pale, sensitive and not used to the heat of the sun. what can i use to help my skin not get sun-burnt and dehydrated or dry??

thanks
Skin care in the sun?
wear sunscreen at all times, get a water resistant one if you can but anyways, re-apply after swimming. Especially ion the first few days, sit in the sahde in the hottest times which is I think 11-3

Also if your skin is very sensitive, I'd advise getting the sun tan lotions from health shops which are better for the skin, (eg Living Nature does a good one, %26amp; also Green People's Edelwiess is a very goods one %26amp; Weleda).

Please have a look at these articles, will give you more info: (suncare advice for hyper-sensitive skin)

Skin care in the sun?
a burka
Reply:I always get factor 80 for my kids when we go somewhere got....works a treat!!!
Reply:Normally I would say try to go to the tanning bed to get your skin ready but since I was just diagnosed w/ skin cancer, I highly advise against that. As you already know, keep sunscreen on at all times. Wear a hat, have some aloe vera ready, and just keep your skin very moisturized. You won't always know you are burning until it's too late; try to stay inside some too!
Reply:dress like a vampire...woman in black...or juz stay at home...
Reply:Limit your exposure to the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (hours of peak ultraviolet exposure).

Wear protective clothing, including a wide-brimmed hat, a long-sleeved shirt, and pants.

Wear sunglasses that block UV rays.

Use a sunscreen that has a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 Sunscreens that say "broad-spectrum" can protect the skin from ultraviolet A and B (UVA and UVB) rays. Sunscreens come in lotions, gels, creams, and ointments.

Use lip balm or cream that has sun protection factor (SPF) to protect your lips from getting sunburned or developing cold sores.
Reply:Get some factor 50, splash it on, then splash it on some more. I have just come back from Barbados and burnt my feet because I didn't splash on enough. I paid the price!

A big hat will help, as will some good sunglasses. Get a good sunblock for your lips, nose and ears. Get in the pool every so often to cool your skin (and slap on some more suncream!), and stay out of the sun between 11.30 and 1.30.

Enjoy!

Skin lightener?

So I was supposed to go to the dermatologist this month and see what he can give me for my acne scars. But she just switched jobs and her insurance doesn't kick in until August! I'm so upset. I have my senior pictures in June and was hoping to have them gone already! So I was wondering if anyone has any tips to help me out?

I use Vitamin E Oil on my face and it has help ALOT. I just want them gone though, I've had them for 7ish years. What about a skin bleach or lightening lotion? If you recommend a bleach will it make me like WHITE-er? If I try to tan, can I still get a tan on my face?

Anything to help me out. I'd really appriciate it.

Thanks!

Oh, if this helps I have combination skin. Oily in the summer, dry in the winter. T-zone oily. And I use Retin-A-Micro. Clean and Clear face wash and a Neutrogina moisturizer.
Skin lightener?
Yeah if you have oily skin----vitamin A is not a good choice....the dermatologist have the best scar removal options.....also try witch hazel ( or a astringent for oily skin) and cleanse the face twice a day.....(but please don't forget to tell the dermatologist that you use tanning beds, it will make a difference on what they prescribe). Good Luck, and congrats on your graduation.
Skin lightener?
You're looking for a "fading cream" like porcelana. It's what Blacks use to get lighter. It's not healthy to use. If you go out in the sun with it you can get skin maladies or cancer. Just use makeup instead.
Reply:Skin lightners WILL NOT (!!) get rid of acne. Get rid of acne scars with somthing like mederma.
Reply:don't use lighteners they will damage your skin. get proactive it will help clear and prevent marks and treat scars on your face. another option is using pure cocobutter mixed with vitaminE it events out the skintone.
Reply:Try the cream called Black and White, it is in a purple and white tube like a toothpaste tube and it is only 3or 4 dollars, I HAD the same prob until i used it every night and in 3 to 4 months you will get your miracle.

Reply:I was actually looking for a skin lightener and had high hopes for a skin care line by Dr. (Patricia) Wexler (albeit $39 + tax), a dermatologist with a practice in new york has even had oprah as a patient! I got her skin brightener moisturizer which has a 30 spf (sun protection factor), however, while it wasn't too irritating in and of itself, the light scent perhaps brought on by some 'natural' ingredients since I didn't see 'fragrance' listed, may have been too much for my allergic nature to handle. Her skin lightener product has vitamin c along with something called mmpi and niacyl, however, it does Not have hydroquinone which is another reason why I tried her's. I was so disappointed though that I couldn't tolerate it, but perhaps you can try to see if it will help to even out the skin tone.

Her products are available at bath and body works stores, online and thru QVC (shopping station) www.qvc.com. I returned it to bath and bodyworks where I purchased it and just brought my receipt and got a cash refund.
Reply:1. You should be using a chemical free skin cleanser every day. By cleaning your skin, you can help eliminate new blemishes from forming. Cleaning your skin every day is the best thing you can do to achieve healthy, acne free skin.

2. Try to keep your hair and hands off of your face. Both your hair and hands contain dirt and oils that can clog your pores and let bacteria grow. While this is not a cure for acne, keeping your pores clear will be instrumental in clearing your acne.

3. Drink lots of water, and eat a healthy diet. While there are no clear connections with acne to a person鈥檚 diet, your skin is the largest organ on your body and keeping your body healthy will naturally keep your skin healthy. Drinking lots of water will keep your skin hydrated while also flushing away toxins.

4. Don鈥檛 pick at your acne! Picking at your acne causes an unnecessary transfer of oils that may cause deeper acne lesions that may lead to scarring. The best way is to get your acne under control using a natural acne treatment every morning and every night.
Reply:Be very careful with products that contain hydroquinone. It is a widely used skin lightener however is a potential carcinogen and is banned in many countries. Look instead for a product that contains Kojic acid, like Arbonne's eye repair cream

What is the best skin care regime??

I have sensitive skin, and a lot of the treatments i have used have caused my skin to break out in rashes, yet those for sensitive skin dont really clean my skin very well.... anyone have any suggestions?? I was recommended Arbonne by a friend in America, but we dont have that here in Australia.
What is the best skin care regime??
Your best skin care begins and ends with a balanced diet and good nutrition. Weed out the fried, fatty foods, and reduce the heavy dairy foods. Eat lots of fibers and drink milk if you can tolerate it. Rub a little high end age reversing eye cream and facial cream on your face every morning but spend the money for a better brand from the pharmacy or the high end department stores. Use a mask at least once a month. Steam is good too, if you have a sauna. When you sleep you could practice good skin maintainence by first applying a light film of e-oil from a liquid vitamin e pill after poking the pill lightly with a pin to seep the serum out. Take care by keeping in a routine, the best care you can do is to use a good regime for all your health and nutrition needs; double for your mental health. Remember to look in the mirror and appreciate your own beauty. Don't focus on the surface when you look in the mirror, find your inner beauty and allow your beauty to be reflected. You can try various products but the products with the age reversal verbage tend to be more promising. Keep your hair very clean. Hair carries a lot of oil, in order to keep the oil from your face keep the oily hair away. Splash a nice spritz on your face seven or twelve times a day, or use an alcohol swipe and freshen up, or witch hazel; whatever you do use the cleansing practice often. Stay away from make up or wear it lightly. A little sun (not a lot) helps to dry up the oils too. Good luck.

Try Nu Skin
Reply:If you have sensitive skin, you need to know first what ingredient you are sensitive to. Its best to consult your derma before using any product, so that you'd know what particular ingredient to avoid =)
Reply:Actually, Arbonne just started in Australia. Go to http://www.arbonne.com/company/internati...

Since it is new, the best thing to do would be to become a consultant yourself, that way you can get the products at a discounted rate, plus you could sell it and make money. Ofcourse you don't have to sell it if you become a consultant, you could just get the products cheaper. But since it is a ripe market there, I would sell it. If you do decide to check it out and become an independent consultant, feel free to log in under me. My consultant number is 17129723. You should first try the NutriminC RE9, but if you find that makes your skin too oily then go with the Intelligence set. However, in the intelligence set watch out for the Masque with thermal fusion. That thermal fusion gets hot!

How to manage tight skin after burns...?

Last week, I goofed pretty bad and wound up with somewhere around 2nd degree burns on the back of my forefinger and hand from a hot grease accident.

The skin is now healing back, but right now it is in that "tight" stage where much of it is more scabarous than regular skin. Any time I flex my finger, the skin will crack and ooze.

Is there anything practical to help soften the skin and make it more flexible at a faster rate? I'm not worried about it "healing" faster, I just want the flexibility back so it doesn't split so easily,
How to manage tight skin after burns...?
2nd degree burns should be covered with a good healing gel and gauze to prevent infections and scarring.

Aloe and Vit E are good. If you leave the burn open to air it can become infected and deep tissue scarring can occur making your fingers stiff and painful when you use them.

When it isn't too painful, rubbing the areas with vit e or another creme often will reduce the swelling, scarring and help with the flexing of your fingers.
How to manage tight skin after burns...?
Aloe vera gel.......
Reply:Put loads of moisturiser on it. In fact. If you buy this palmer's cocoa butter it adds moisture and it helps heal it quicker and better and it reduces scars. So it's good all round. I swear that is the best thing ever invented. I had this huge scar on my head and it disappeared practically.

Puppy's With Sensitive Skin... What Can I Use?

I'm getting a puppy and the mother (Australian Silky Terrier) of this puppy has sensitive skin. The father is a Bichon Frise and I am not sure if he has sensitive skin. So there is a chance my puppy will have sensitive skin as well and as a precaution I am going to use Dermaleen to start with but Dermaleen doesn't have a flea treatment in it so what is safe to use on a puppy with sensitive skin to prevent fleas? (please only suggest brands available in New Zealand)

My puppy will be 6 Weeks on the 19/12/07.

Thanks :D
Puppy's With Sensitive Skin... What Can I Use?
The best thing to do is when you get your puppy bring him or her to the vet. The puppy is going to need vaccs if she is 6 weeks anyway and have an exam done. Let your vet know about the mother and farther. I work at a vet and the best thing is to have a doc take care of it. They can give you meds that will help from the inside out.
Puppy's With Sensitive Skin... What Can I Use?
Avon skin so soft. it kills fleas %26amp; moistures the dogs skin. hope this helps. :)
Reply:If your pup does have sensitive skin, it could also pose a problem with its coat too! Either way, I have found that the vitamin Omega 3 Fatty Acid FISH OIL, is WONDERFUL for skin and coat problems, and it is also good for their heart too!! The pill is rather large for a small dog, so use a tooth pick to poke a hole at the end of the pill and pour its contents on something the dog likes to eat, he/she will have very good skin and hair in a matter of a couple of weeks, I would not have believed the difference if I had not seen it for myself!! Good Luck to you and your new Babe!!!!
Reply:Frontline is very safe and mild. It is labeled in the US for puppies over 8 weeks of age.
Reply:you can buy food that contains things that will help with sensitive skin. There are also shampoos that are made for dogs with sensitive skin.
Reply:Same here. I was told to put my dog on Nutro dog food. that in three weeks I would not beleive the difference. I am telling you, I had no idea the difference in Dog Food.

Also the price varies from place to place. Nutro also carries the treats.

I hope I saved you some vet cost $$$

Another thing that works for that shiney coat.

Boil 6 cups of water, take off heat. stir in 2 cups of old fashion oats. stir and stir until the water is cloudy.

Set this mixture aside to cool. Strain the water from the oatmeal.

After bathing your dog. use this oatmeal water as a .

final rinse. Try to leave this on your dog for at least 10 mins. then give a final rinse.

You have a dog with a coat that is so conditioned you wont beleive the shine and softness. I even take this water to the vet when they bathe him.

Good Luck
Reply:Just get a proper flea treatment from a vets, like Frontline or Revolution - these are all a lot better for the skin that fleas are. Fleas are about the worst thing for an animal's skin, even one that isn't sensitive. Don't get any store bought flea treatments.

Skin not great please help!!?

I am going on holidays in 2 months and I am wanting my skin to be nice and glowing but for that to happen i need to get rid off my sports, greasy skin and most important the ewwwey blackheads !!! i really need help and i want to know what i can do other than the typical not eating junk food and detoxing.

Please Please help me
Skin not great please help!!?
I use to have blackheads but now if I count them all I probably have two.

Ok

for blackheads, use the Biore Nose or face strips every 3-7 days.

It works magic.

Some people even put a warm towel over their face so the dirt softens and they just pressure (not too hard) and the thing POPs.

Just remember not to keep pressuring a blackhead if it doesnt come out during the first 2 or 3 tries or else it'll leave you marks.

Skin/Tan Nightmare!?

I am naturally a fair skin tone, i feel and look better with a tan

i use Fake tan on my face (Avon)

it looks natural, but due to my teenage skin i have to also keep breakouts under control.

and all the Facial Cleansers i have used to combat blemishes strip the fake tan back to my pale self.

Has anyone got a solution or better product?

I Posted similar question before but i made a mistake by clicking the wrong category, and therefore maybe not getting as many answered as possible.

Any Suggestion would be helpful

Many Thanks.
Skin/Tan Nightmare!?
Try gentler tans, like this recent Dove tanner, which does it slowly, but holds on better. It's especially better, since you are young. Don't spoil your skin, okay?
Skin/Tan Nightmare!?
well, the only thing i can think of is, get a real tan, not using a cream, it'll last longer and obviously not come off with cleansers. also, try instead of using a cream which just adds colour right away, use the types that gradually build a tan, as they change your actual skin colour instead of just putting a layer of "paint" on top of your skin. good luck!
Reply:I use olay Hint of sunshine facial moisturiser every day,so whatever I take off with cleanser I just reaply morning and night,so never look any different

Skin Heal Faster?

Hey, I had a condition called molluskum contagiousm, like these bumps, and to get rid of them the dermatologist put this ointment on them to make them blister, i had an extreme reaction and it because a huge open cut, soes anybody know how to make the damagd skin heal faster. PS: I have already calmed down the inflamation, I just wanna know how to get a few odd bumps, and the chapped open skin ti heal faster! thanks I appreciate it!
Skin Heal Faster?
try honey. it can't hurt your skin to try it. When i was a kid, my aunt would put honey on my bumps...and it heals really really fast....so i guess it'll work on what you have.
Skin Heal Faster?
Taking B Vitamins can help you heal faster. You also might want to put shea butter on it. Shea butter is known for its overall healing qualities. Pure shea butter can even be used on your face, it's really a great cream.

Making and Keeping smooth skin...?

My skin seems to suck up dust and dirt which all starts rubbing off AFTER I've had a shower (which is well annoying because I'd much rather it came off in the shower). I also get little specks of hard white or translucent gunk (of dead skin presumably) which also rub off.

Would exfoliating and moisturizing properly for a certain period along with good diet etc. resolve the skin for good so it doesnt need special attention (like skin on the lower arms)? Natural suggestions particularly welcome...
Making and Keeping smooth skin...?
Using a wash cloth, a shower poof or scrubby gloves to slough of dead skin while in the shower would help a lot.

You can also try a sugar or salt scrub.

What's happening is that the soap and is loosening the layer of dead, dry skin but not scrubbing it off. That doesn't happen until you dry off w/ a towel afterwards.

Here are some recipes for sugar %26amp; salt scrubs:

Simple Sugar Scrub - Formula

Adapted from The Seasonal Detox Diet, by Carrie L鈥橢sperance (Inner Traditions, 2002).

This super-simple formula has been softening and nourishing skin for centuries.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup sugar

Enough cold-pressed oil (olive, wheat germ, peanut, corn, or sunflower) to dampen the mixture

Gently massage this exfoliating scrub all over your body and face before you shower with a light soaping and rinse. Repeat once or twice a month. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/simple-...

Salt Scrub

Mix 1/2 - 1 cup epsom salts w/ enough olive, canola or baby oil to make a paste. Apply in the shower after rinsing your skin. Be sure to rub gently. Wash w/ a gentle soap afterwards.

Be careful when using scrubs w/ an oil base - they can make the shower floor slippery.
Making and Keeping smooth skin...?
You should use better soap, and just lotion it all the time, vitamin E would help too.
Reply:well i would say exfoliat every couple of days until it goes away then after every time you shower but on mosteriser, i use a cocoa butter one which is gd for me but you could try different ones til you find a good one for your skin...
Reply:Try a sea salt scrub on your arms - in the shower.

I use Awaken by Arbonne but try making your own with kosher salt and olive oil and a hint of real lemon juice.

For your face take a hot compress before you wash at night to draw the dirt out and lightly exfoliate the face before washing.

(use a terry cloth wash cloth heat in micro four double warmth)

Implement a real exfoliant twice a week on a clean face.

Try a mask too and do you use a toner every day?
Reply:I don't suggest putting canola or baby oil on your skin at all! I suggest that you use Olive oil if any to mix with the sugar or salt in a scrub. OR you can use Arbonne Aromotherapy salt scrubs. they are pure, safe and beneficial. plant and herb based products that don't clog pores and don't destroy your skins natural acid mantle. email me and i will give you more information.
Reply:1. Drink enough water! 8 eight oz. glasses of water per day!

2. Exfoliate! (Maybe even invest in an at home microdermabrasion set)

3. Moisturize twice a day (and more throughout the day if you're really dry.
Reply:yeah, and use a loofah.

Skin & Fake Tanning?

I have horrible skin, and it looks absolutely dreadful (pale and oily) under strong light. To add to this problem, i have bad tan lines (my legs and arms are a lot darker than anywhere else).

I have heard that fake tan would fix my tan lines, but i'm afraid that the fake than might seem slightly orangy compared to my natural tan spots. What do you think?

Oh and would fake tan also help my skin look better?
Skin %26amp; Fake Tanning?
i dont think a fake tan will improve your skin tone try some exfoilates to help with the oily areas. also what are ur tan lines from? if its from say a sport try wearing sun screen on your arms and legs for awhile and then go get the fake tan or tan outside. and depending on the quality of your fake tan and your skins reacton may depend on the outcome. like cheap lotion may make you look orange or streaky

i just want to add this if your legs and arms are naturaly darker then i dont think that a fake tan will make it darker it prob just even your paler areas out
Skin %26amp; Fake Tanning?
I would go find a tanning salon that offers Mystic Tanning-- I do it all the time, and it is MUCH healthier than fake baking... It leaves a really pretty glow and is NOT orange! Make sure to run it in when you are done, the tanning person should tell you directions---I live by it!!!

http://www.mystictan.com/

to find a location near you
Reply:Stick with the fake tanning. Tanning beads are bad and you would be an idiot to use one because it a leading cause of skin cancer. I would look around at all the tanning salons in your area in a phone book and phone and ask. Different tanning salons use different stuff. Perhaps if you ask around some friends if they have any recommendations for places either.
Reply:fake bake and st tropez is the best fake self tanners. both are sold at saks. for the best price and NOT tampered with buy them at www.athomeskincare.com and es, it will help your problem!

I need info on skin bleaching......!!!!?

ok, I was just surfing about ways to be more fairer, and I came accross bleaching skin...I am very confused about exactly what it does and the sideaffects.

some say bleaching the skin is harmless while others say it's horrible...

what should I believe....I need some advice...

another thing, my skin is not too sensitive but I am a bit allergic to one type of make up.

after using bleach, the skin turns all red n gross right? well during the process does it burn and hurt a lot too???

plz answer my questions!!!!!

thanx!
I need info on skin bleaching......!!!!?
first off, skin whitening/bleaching or tanning is ok for people who need it for higher self-esteem, a job requirement, or to correct skin problems..

the use of skin lightening products involves exfoliation of the skin to hasten the whitening effect.. in the process of exfoliation, the skin tends to get ashier as dead skin cells resurface and get ready to peel off.. a slightly reddish tingling (or burning if overused) sensation is experienced and is normal and will go away after exfoliation.. a rosy white skin is your end result..

harmless if you buy products WITHOUT hydroquinone or mercury.. horrible if you have used unsafe products that after long term use, more skin damage is seen or worse, skin cancer..

use skin whitening products with safe natural ingredients such as papain enzymes (from papaya), kojic acid (derived from mushroom) or licorice plant extract.. the use of a good sunscreen is a must to maintain a fairer skin..

you should be fine if you follow the instructions which are not really difficult to follow.. i've used them for a while and have no problem with it.. here's where you can get safe skin lightening products -
I need info on skin bleaching......!!!!?
I really hope you are just trying to lighten a scar or dark areas and not your whole body. I don't mean to be judgmental, but I feel bad that so many women can't just be okay with the color God made them. All skins colors are beautiful from the deepest chocolate to the porcelain white and everything in between !!! But back to your ??? Skin bleaching can be very harmful and dangerous.
Reply:Check out a vitiligo website, I can assure you that bleaching your skin is something you will forget about

Skin Tags While Pregnant?

At first i thought that i had an STI but when i looked online it doesn't look anything like that. They look like skin tags. And i went to the hospital recently and the doctor checked to see if i was dialated. I assume that if it was an STI should would have me get tested. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and im going to have her double check just to be on the safe side.

So has any one else had skin tags around there vagina when they were pregnant and do they go away?
Skin Tags While Pregnant?
Make sure you talk to the doctor about the skin tag. Tell him/her that you'd like a test if they think it's a STD. I haven't had any skin tags, but my good friend did while she was pregnant - it did go away after she gave birth.
Skin Tags While Pregnant?
my wife has a skin tag near hers and she's not even pregnant, there's no need to panick!

Good luck with your pregnancy
Reply:My sister had the same thing--even the first doc, just an student doc, said it was an STD, but her OB said it was just skin tags. And they are very common in pregnancy. And no, they won't go away after you deliver, but your doc can snip them off in office.
Reply:Yes, i had one during my pregnancy, my doctor removed it and said it was due to hormone level increases. Years later I have one on my underarm, why i'm getting it now i don't know. Doctor says not to worry
Reply:you know how some people have little strawberry marks that look like busted veins under the skin?? some on my hand went crazy and proturded completely out, kinda like they exploded out of my skin. i would bump them and they would bleed. i had to have them removed. i will probably have it with this pregnancy too. you body does funny things when you pregnant

oh and this sounds like genital warts to me that are cause from HPV and they are harmless during pregnancy and will go away on there own. they are going crazy because you are pregnant. my sister has them, and she is 3 months.

first do not over wash that face, just morning and night.do not scrub!!scrubbing too hard will remove the oil ur face needs.ur skin is overproducing oil so wash and moisturize.i use cocoa butter alot just for little areas that might be red at night but the kit also comes with a spot treatment for those zits that just pop up.dont leave pimples on your face, gently pp them with tissue.if they are hard to pop dont irritate it and bruise ur skin, hold a hot wash cloth on it then put the spot treatment on it.good luck!!!

Skin Hydration For Men. Pro Advice Please.?

I do a lot of outdoor sport, cycling etc. After a shower I like to use a moisturiser to hydrate the skin to prevent wrinkle lines. Trouble is you cant use aftershave with it. Is there an all in one solution such as a skin hydration system with a nice scent?
Skin Hydration For Men. Pro Advice Please.?
Hi quite a few shops do there own now, I know asda do a moisturising lotion for men and it had an sent to it like it would if you bought the aftershave, so does avon they do a formen range and they have different moisturiser that you can use as well, one for oily skin and one for normal.

Look on the avon website and look under for men range and you willl find it the have everything even eye creams.

How do I even out my skin tone? I have fair skin...?

I have pretty fair skin (I use the lightest shade of makeup in every brand), but it has a bit of a pinkish tone and to me, the tone is uneven maybe a little blotchy and I have shady circles around my eyes. Most people say they don't notice it, but it bothers me. I have really dry skin and every thing I own says "Intensive Moisture" or "hypo-allergenic". I use a gentle exfoliating face wash and lots of moisturizer. I can only use nearly sheer foundation with moisturizers because anything thick just dries it out. My skin is painfully dry. If I don't use a gallon of lotion after showering, it is so itchy I can't stand it. Even when I used to tan my skin was always slightly uneven. Besides makeup, any advice?

Reply:i've been using Neutrogena Healthy Skin庐 Face Lotion SPF 15... i only use a tiny bit...smaller than the size of a pea...because all moisterizers i have used with sunscreen are a little bit oily... and it stings alittle when i put it on..but i noticed a huge difference in my skin... its softer, i'm breaking out a lot less, and its helped even out my complexion

i would suggest using petroleum jelly or vaseline right after you get out of a hot shower to help with your intensly dry skin...
Reply:Between the face wash %26amp; the moisturizer, I would recommend Even Complexion Essence by Mary Kay. Also, I recommend a skincare regimen formulated to your skin type (normal/dry). And, I highly recommend that you use products all from one brand (usually they are formulated to work together %26amp; deliver the best results). The sun does the MOST damage to your skin, so a moisturizer with an SPF wouldn't hurt. Oh, and maybe a concealer for the shady circles. Hope this helps! :)
Reply:You need something more intense like a night cream. Roc makes excellent night cream. Or just use unscented creme like Eucerin on dry areas at night. As for the dark circles you need to use concealor. It doesn't matter how old you are concealor makes us look fresh and more even toned. Origins makes a great concealor.
Reply:i have the same and i have started to use dove holiday skin i dont need a foundation its great
Reply:I use Loreal Hydra Renewal. It really works well. And I usually after i take a shower. It's kind of watery so there isnt much oil in it. You should really try it.
Reply:I would use E 45 cream for moisturising everywhere if your skin is that dry. Also I would wash with Aqueous cream in the bath or shower as it will help counteract the dryness without irritating you can use this on your face if it is super sensitive. Use Oilatum in your bath to soothe your skin if it needs it. Sounds like you have eczema, you probably should see your GP. Neutrogena do good moisturisers for dry sensitive skin, also think about taking Omega 3 supplements and eat healthily as I've heard this can help with dry skin conditions.
Reply:try clinique Fair tinted moisturizer. That is what I use. LOVE IT
Reply:Try and make sure your skin has cooled down after washing before applying ANYTHING. And try to not wash your face in too hot or cold water. Just imagine your skin as a delicate material which you wouldn't get too hot, cold, wet, dry or use anything too strong on.

I have sensitive and combination skin and have found if you are gentle and wash in warm water and use a sensitive (no oil) moisturiser then things should calm down.

Skin bubble on my foot?

Okay theres this "bubble on the heel of my foot. It apeared after I took a shower, and its pretty big, should I peel of the skin? The "bubble" "popped" and theres just nothing but skin in the hole, what should I do? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY
Skin bubble on my foot?
It is a blister that is all it is just keep it clean so you do not get an infection so no do not peel it off.

Put an antibiotic cream on it like polysporin and cover with a bandaid
Skin bubble on my foot?
its a blister. big deal.
Reply:Normally a bubble like that is a blister and is caused by shoes that are rubbing. I would leave the loose skin alone and cover the area with a band-aid to keep it from getting irritated anymore.
Reply:If it didn't hurt before, it wasn't a blister.

Dude, you just got a bit of summer on your feet, I bet you aren't wearing shoes as often and are doing sandles lately, right?

If it's not red, painful and raw, do what you feel like.
Reply:Don't worry. It happens when you wear some tight shoe or sandle, which is hurting you on your foot and after some time that area become loose. It become separate from your foot muscles. And when you take shower the water goes in.. so it becomes bubble. But after a while it also goes off. It will continue for few days than aotomatically it goes off.

So don't worry

Skin near my fingernails cracks?
That's a deficiency in B2 (Riboflavin). Do you also have sore tongue and cracked lips?? Check whether your multivitamin has B2 in it and what dosage. Recommended dosage for adults is 1.2 - 1.7mg. If your tablets do have sufficient amounts, maybe try crushing tablets and mixing with food/juice.

from what i experienced with my best friend, it might most likely be scabies. its dry bumps on your skin, i believe its like eggs under skin. you can look for it online for further meaning. try looking at the link.

What is the difference between a skin tag and a mole?

I went to a dermatologist yesterday, and got a general skin exam. I have a few moles that i wanted to get checked out, just for good measure since skin cancer runs in my family. The nurse who was examining me was not particularily polite or interested in making me comfortable while she examined me, so when she said dismissivily, "thats a skin tag" about a bump that happens to be in an awkward area, I didn't question her. I have always had the mole/skin tag, and always believed it to be a mole. I read online that moles are something we are born with, and skin tags are developed later on, usually later in life (I'm 18), so I'm wondering if she could have been mistaken. I guess it only really matters since I plan to probably get it removed, and because moles have the possibility to become cancerous. Could she have been wrong, and what exactly is the difference between the two? Thanks.
What is the difference between a skin tag and a mole?
skin tags hang like tags. moles are like circular raised areas. you can get either removed easily. I don't think skin tags can become cancerous. I got my moles removed with a do it at home 20 minute herbal paste. I got it from here: www.wartmoleremover.co.uk Cheap and you can do it in the privacy of your own home
What is the difference between a skin tag and a mole?
skin tags hang from you body, moles dont.

Reply:hi...i've never heard of any injections to make you taller but i do know that if you are only 15 you are not done growing just yet. i kept growing into my early 20's. everyone is different but i suspect that if everyone in your family is tall you may very well end up taller. just give yourself time...as for skin lightening....ummm can we say michael jackson? just stay indoors a while or wear more clothing...always ruins my tans. best of luck to you!!

Skin Tag vs. Genital Wart?

How do you tell the difference between the two? There is only one, and I though that for it to be warts you had more than one. There is information saying that you can confuse a wart, a skin tag, and a mole, so how do you truely tell the difference? Especially if there is no 'sure fire' way to 'test' for warts?

**I know the 'Go to the doctor' people will be out today...so read the following...

My doctor has never said anything about it, so I always though it was a skin tag, until I saw his nurse yesterday. She tells me it's warts. Do I panic (not literally), or do I just wait for my doctor to check it out first? Plus it's not like I haven't had that area checked out a billion times in the last 6 months, b/c I'm pregnant. So it's not likely that my doctor missed something like this right?

~Oh boy, here we go...
Skin Tag vs. Genital Wart?
I wouldn't worry yet. I would just mention it to the doctor next time you're in and tell him that his nurse mentioned it was a wart. He should be able to tell you and then remove it if necessary. It's not uncommon for pregnant women to get skin tags. It's also common for overweight and older people. I seriously doubt you have a single genital wart though. Good luck!
Skin Tag vs. Genital Wart?
Either one...

there is a procedure to get rid of both
Reply:I have had genital warts for sometime..the kind of HPV that i have is only in my blood stream which means that I dont really have any signs or symptoms from it except a few bumps that are rather small....I have nothing like the pics you see on here...I have skin tags as well...Skin tags are more of a little flap of skin where as a wart feels or looks like a hard mole....i have one bump that feels andlooks like a mole but it is a wart...I would have YOUR doctor take a look at it and see what he/she says....if you have not already i would GOOGLE both of those and look at pics to get a general idea of what they both look like...
Reply:TELL YOUR DOCTOR YOU MAY HAVE A WART AND YOU ARE CONCERNED HE WILL BE EMBRASSED HE DIDNT TELL YOU ALL THIS TIME

Skin products for acne??

my skin is rlllly irratated from clinique any1 know any rlllly effective products that are rllly good for sensitive skin for acne no proactiv you rlly dont kno how much this is bugging me thxx soo much!!

less than 50 dollars
Skin products for acne??
I have sensitive skin and I use Neutrogen Advanced Solutions (it is a treatment for your face, it includes the cleanser, day moisturizer, and night lotion). I have tried everything and the only thing that had work for me so far was this product. It only coast $30.00 you can buy it at any drug store like Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreen's etc.. So far everyone is telling you about one product not an acne treatment. However, proactive does not work (for me and I have very sensitive skin) for everyone and I have tried dermatologist. The only thing they would do is give you a lot of samples to see if they work or not. You can not find!! a product that would eliminate acne (theirs no way because your body always go thought changes). I hope that I was helpful!!

Good Luck!!!
Skin products for acne??
clinique products are real harsh. i have used som este lauder products for skin and that has help
Reply:proactive, it's easy on your skin and you can see the results in like 2 days
Reply:Proactive and Wal-Mart has a knock off to the (generic) proactive line.
Reply:you can get clearisal that is made specifcally for sensative skin and works well at clearing up acne too
Reply:olay!!!!! i have been using it for a year now, and my face is absoulutely clear!!!!!! all my friends ask what i use, and i just say, oh, just this stuff my mom uses......but i dont know where she gets it from........and say, the name is.....i dont know....oryla cleanser!!! lol

Reply:I have bad acne too. I think it is from touching my face, my hands are really oily and clammy all the time. I don't use anything on my face though, it seems like everytime I try something on my face, It gets even worse, then I stop and It gets better.

See if your insurance covers a dermatologist or whatever those skin doctors are called. If it does, go to one of them and you shouldn't have to pay more then 50 dollars after the insurance kicks in.

Good luck. :)
Reply:you should try clearasile... i do believe it is easy to fine and you can get it in a big bottle...

its not proactive but it really does work for me and lots of my friends use it....

just try it it should be gone after 2 days with this stuff
Reply:I have acne and I used proactiv and it worked well. You have to use it exactly like it says though to get good results--2-3 times a day. My friend uses a skin care line from BeautiControl that he says works well, too.

hi, i have bad skin!! on my face, when i wake up in the morning, there are small little white acne kind of things poped up on the face!! if i break them then a white fluid thing comes out of it, how to prevent it?
Skin breaks up and white liquid pops up on the skin!! how to get rid of that?
They are called pimples. Welcome to puberty. Something that works well and you can get through your physician, is Benzoylperoxide gel.
Skin breaks up and white liquid pops up on the skin!! how to get rid of that?
WHITE FLUID = PUS

DERMATOLOGIST = SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEMS
Reply:Wash your face daily with an antibacterial soap like safeguard. You can also apply rubbing alcohol to your face (stay away from your eyes and don't breathe in the vapors), but concentrate on the areas that have the worse acne. As you get older your hormones should calm down and the acne will clear up on its own. You could also go to a dermatologist and find out what he/she can do for you.
Reply:Got to the doctor, they might provide you an acne medicine. When you break them, that is pus coming out, and dirt and build up. Sounds like acne 2 me!

How to have flawless skin???

i have oily skin...i drink 3L of water a day,eat 2 fruts a day and try eat vegetables daily.I wash my face with a facial cleanser(for loily skin) and i facial cream(for oily skin). What can i do to have flawless skin???
How to have flawless skin???
1) keep your hands off of your face. You transfer oils and dirt everytime you touch your face, which causes more acne.

2)exercise. seriously, it does help with the state of your skin.

3)you can use topical ointmants for acne as well.

4)don't pick. That always makes it worse.

5)don't use foundation, try to limit your make-up use. Natural really is best
How to have flawless skin???
Beat egg whites and spead them all over your face until they dry. Then just rinse them off. It sounds crazy, but it really does work!
Reply:karine t-

read the labels of the products you are using and make sure they don't contain mineral oils -

I thought flawless skin was a myth - or for the famous but we all can have it if we work it - and you will find sleep, your diet and water do play a good part-

but I also started using pure and natural products with a regime - wash, toner, serum, day cream (eye creams)

and repeating it at night (with adding a night cream)

my skin has transformed.

Also add a weekly mask on a clean face

and twice a week exfoliate - (I use booths)
Reply:have juice of one carrot, small piece of ginger, one tbsp honey, one tspn lemon juice and little powdered black pepper ( you can reduce the lemon juice if you feel it is too tart) daily. do this for atleast one month you will see the difference. Rub with a slice of apple to get rid of the oil on face.

Skin question?

I am a white female, with easily tanning skin. I go to that tanning bed anywhere from once a week or everyother week or even twice a week. Just recently I have a white spot on my face that was never there before, and it has a somewhat dark center. I think Im to young for skin cancer, Im 20. Its bothering me, it looks awful and worries me. Thank you so much for any help given.
Skin question?
Don't ever think that you are too young to get skin cancer. Most of a persons skin damage is done from tanning in their earlier years but usually doesn't show up until later in life.

If you are trying to self-diagnose yourself, look up skin cancer on yahoo images (or google, msn etc) to see what some of the cancers look like, otherwise, see your dermatologist.

Don't freak out. it's probably nothing.
Skin question?
You are NOT too young for skin cancer. Definately go get this checked out immediately.
Reply:My best answer: go to your doctor or a dermatologist to have it checked out. Also, you're never too young for skin cancer. I've read where girls younger than you have had skin cancer that tan less than you. Just have it checked out before it gets worse, because it's better to be safe than sorry.
Reply:you are never to young for cancer!!! i would recommend you have it checked out! it is prob nothing but at least you will feel better about it.

Skin Problems ... :(?

Hi, im 15 and my skin has always been sensitive. i broke out quite badly recently in dry patches and although most of the dryness has dissapeared (there are still some patches) my skin has been left with red/yellow marks where the blemishes have been.

Anyway i can get rid of these?

Thanks x
Skin Problems ... :(?
will your parents allow you to go to a dermatologist?

(if they are itchy ice cubes help the discomfort btw)

It sounds very much like psoriasis or eczema

there are treatments that can help

if your parents won't take you- try some of the remedies on these sites (if the symptoms match):

http://www.psoriasis.org/about/psoriasis...

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/eczem...
Skin Problems ... :(?
look into sites regarding shingles

dry flaky skin

dry/red patches on skin

and you will probably find your solution
Reply:moisturise more, and do you wash you're face with soap? don't anymore if you do, it will dry you're skin.
Reply:Buy any aveeno lotion, they are great.
Reply:do you moisturise daily, you need one for sensitive skin, and don't use soap it dry's your skin out so badly, cleanse and tone daily
Reply:You may want to go to the dermatologist. To me it sounds like exzema. It is a skin disease that causes patchy spots like that. I know, I have it.
Reply:Well, I can tell you specifically as a physician that there are individual medications which could be used to improve this issue. However, believe it or not, one product tauted by celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, has all those ingredients in them. Proactive is it's name. It has an acid and other ingredients which promote healing of spots, and exfoliation of issues which you suffer from.

If you need anymore information, let me know. I will be glad to give you the specific names of some alternatives.
