People ,Please Help My Skin...=(?

My skin has recently got allergic reactions such as rashes, gets dry, skin is peeling off, this is because of the new facial wash that i just bought, but now i've stopped using that since couple of days ago and currently using Cetaphil cleanser as people recommended me.It's kinda working,i know it takes time to recover. Now,the problem is,with the skin peeling off,how do i deal with this? I use heaps of moisturiser every morning but it still kinda dry. What product can u people suggest me without hurting my skin while it's still under allergic reaction /shall I exfoliate or.....?? I just don't know what to do with this and at this stage i don't really want to go to dermatologist.Pls help..

Paul and Basil are correct. your skin is young give it a chance. Eat a little butter or olive oil and your face will shine gently. Wash gently with Ivory soap and pat dry. What you have is a facial chemical burn. Let it heal like a burn. Quit the chemical attack from the out side and you body will take care of you. wash your hands six or more times a day with mild soap. Your hands deliver more germs to your face than anything else. Get away from TV and go have fun with your friends and boy friends they are life, TV gets you fat and obviously burns the skin right off your face with all the junk you are taught to buy.

Boys prefer to kiss a clean happy face, not lipstick and gloss and rouge and mascara and etc and etc,

Go have fun before you get old, your skin will take care of its self if you leave it alone.

Sounds like you're putting a lot of crap on your skin that it doesn't like... Maybe you should just give it a rest and let it moisturize itself with its own natural oils. My skin is very clear and it has been ever since I stopped using any kinds of skin care products on it... I simply wash my face thoroughly with water alone. You might want to consider natural skin care products like Aloe Vera and sunlight. Good luck.
Reply:By and far Olive Oil is the best way to remoisturize extremely dry skin. I share the same condition - I know it seems a bit odd, but Olive Oil is excellent.

If you have an Advance Auto Pars near you, you can go there and get something called "Badger Balm" - it comes in a little round tin like shoe polish, and states on the front it is for dry cracked and peeling skin. I keep a can in the house and the car.

At bedtime apply the badger balm or straight olive oil to the dry area. Repeat as necessary each night before bed. The main ingredient in Badger Balm is Olive Oil.
Reply:There is a wide variety of skin conditions you can have, and obviously different medications are better for different skin conditions. If you want to find out at least what skin condition you have, I would recommend a dermatologist. You dont have to receive treatment or accept any medications from a doctor, but to get a diagnosis could be helpful.

As far as face wash goes...

Ive had a poor complexion my entire life. I am currently 23 and spent many years going to a dermatologist who prescribed numerous medications that if anything, made my skin condition worse. Ive used topical and oral medications (the two I remember being triaz and acutane) to improve my skin. Nothing had been effective and if anything they made my skin worse, and exceptionally dry. I now use proactiv, and I would swear by it. I was skeptical at first because it seemed like more of an infomercial product, which I never really gravitate towards, but I love it. My skin improved drastically in a reasonable amount of time. Just using it made me 'feel' better. I don't know what products and face washes you've used before, but I strongly suggest proactiv.
Reply:Quit using everything you are using on your face currently. Invest in a good quality natural face cleanser and a good quality face moisturizer. Aveda makes some very good ones for sensitive skin which I highly recommend. I have rosacea and because of that my skin is very sensitive to what I put on it. The Aveda products have been very gently and non irritating while still doing what they are supposed to do. Avoid extreme temperatures and a lot of sunlight. If you go to tanning salons then stop doing that for awhile so that your skin can heal.

Reply:It really depends on the ingredients of the skin product you are using. I have never used Cetaphil so I don't know..But if you check the back, it should have a list of ingredients. If it say "benzoyl peroxide" this is most likely your answer. Approximately one to three percent of people develop an allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide, which can include swelling, itchiness, redness, and peeling. I used to use AcneClear and ProActive and both of those have the ingredients and I found out that I was allergic, so I can't use it anymore.
Reply:Try a good moisturizer. Good luck!
