Skin product to keep skin healthy and soft and white?

Does anyone know a product that they can recommend me that makes my skin smoother, cleaner, healthier and whiter? That gives noticeable results?

I'm a teenager by the way.
Skin product to keep skin healthy and soft and white?
Sunscreen is number one! You should get on a basic 5 step regime while you're young and maintain that youthful appearance!

1. Cleanse

2. Exfoliate

3. Tone

4. Moisturize

5. Sun Protection

I love Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant and Oil Free Matte Block.

Since you're a teen, don't use too many adult products. Eating healthy will keep your skin nice and clear, and sunscreen will prevent tanning/burning. Go to a nearby Clinique or something and see if they have something for you. (But they'll probably say that teens shouldn't use stuff like that, that's what they told me)

Skin Whitening?

1. I don't want to hear your crap about, "Why would you want to change yourself.....Blah.....Blah.... God made you with ....... Blah.....Blahh!"

2. Don't waste your time in answering if you don't have a answer.

3. What exactly does skin whitening do?

4. Can I apply it to my skin to make it a few shades lighter.

5. Is there a way to go to a doctor (I think a dermatoliogist) to get it professionally done?
Skin Whitening?
skin whitening products are formulated to whiten skin for purposes of correcting uneven skin tones, get rid of hyperpigmentation, or for aesthetic preferences (make skin shades lighter).. you don't need a doctor to undergo this process, because you can do this in the comfort of your home..

good quality (and safe) skin whiteners and sunscreen make up the key to achieving a fairer skin tone.

If you want to be white it will be a lengthy and expensive procedure. It's not worth it.

Skin question.....?

So.............i have acne and i am on a treatment from my dermatologist, but my mom says that if i put creams on my face from this age (i've been treating my acne since i was 11) my skin will get old and wrinkled very soon.I know it sounds stupid but it obsesses me.....i don't know what to do:stop the treatment and get full of pimples and not have wrinkles and aged skin early,or stay on the treatment and support the "consequences" later

P.S. i'm 13 now
Skin question.....?
use the cream is your mom a dermatologist the cream wont make your skin get wrinkly any earlier than it normally would
Skin question.....?
Well....take it from me...my daughter had very bad acne from like age 10-14. She tried everything under the planet, except the real strong antibiotics, that cause fertility problems. She is now 15, almost 16, and the only thing she has is some light acne scarring. No, in her case, she still looks like a youthful child. Have you tried pro-active?? That is what finally cleared her up. And it is really good for your skin.

I'm having some problems with my skin...?

I have pretty finicky skin. Especially on my face. I also have excema on my hands which I keep under control with Cetaphil.

I just had this wierd break-out of dry skin on my eyes that itched alot sometimes. It made me look like I had done a really bad job at putting some brown eye shadow on. It also flaked alot. I think it may've been an allergic reaction to my mascera. I'd never had a reaction to that stuff before so I changed the type I used and it cleared up.

I have rather large pores on my nose and they usually have like...blackish/grayish stuff in them and ...bleugh. I also have dry skin on my nose as well.

On my cheeks I get patches of this flakey dry skin.

Basically, it's really embarassing. I'm in High School and people can be pretty idiotic about wierd stuff.

I don't know if you may know what may be wrong or what types of foods I should or shouldn't eat that may improve my skin. Or what kind of facial care products I should use.

(I have combination skin.)
I'm having some problems with my skin...?
Seborrheic dermatitis is another name for dandruff, and it can spread to your face, shoulders, and back, and this could be what you're describing. It itches, is flaky, and doesn't look great. You might try a coal tar shampoo like Ionil T, and follow the directions (which include leaving the lather on for a couple of minutes before rinsing). The others- head and shoulders for example, may do very well also.

You could also have allergies that show themselves in a type of eczema, and might be helped by something like Benadryl cream.

That lotion they advertise as having oatmeal in it is also very soothing, - Aveeno anti-itch concentrated lotion - is also recommended for such as poison oak, etc. It's the same color as skin so wouldn't be noticeable at school.

Skin whitening soap?

Is it okay to use skin whitening soap then a lotion to protect your skin from UV rays?
Skin whitening soap?
Please don't do that. It is very sad.
Skin whitening soap?
In reality, the skin whitening soap does not actually "whiten" the skin...for some, it may, but for most, it evens out blemishes from pimples scars and other skin blemishes...you will not turn from a Halle Berry skin type to a Nicole Kidman skin type. Report It

Reply:But consult a doctor before you do, some of these soaps do contain chemicals that are harmful and reduce the melanin in your skin that do protect you from the sun. Report It

Reply:Just remember, your skin complexion is YOUR skin complexion, most if not all models that you see in the advertisements are naturally "white" or "fair skin"....just keep that in mind. Report It

Reply:I am not claiming to be an expert at this, but these are the general opinions of my close friends who are in the cosmetic industry in southeast Asia where skin lightening is in very high demand. Report It

Reply:try ambi
Reply:Well is all that really necessary the lotion not enough. Unless

the lotion has a SPF in it does not protect from UV rays.
Reply:hahaha .............LOL
Reply:You have to protect yourself after using any dkin lightening product it usually says not to go out in the sun after use.
Reply:Why would you want to lighten your skin? Are you not happy with who you are?

But you SHOULD ALWAYS wear lotion with at least a SPF 15 to protect yourself from harmful sun's rays.

Most chemicals that whiten skin will also make skin more sensitive, so using a lotion with SPF is a MUST!

If you are going to expose yourself to direct sun light (meaning going to the beach or gardening...etc.) that I would also suggest putting on some sunblock. I don't care how dark your skin is, EVERYBODY can get skin cancer...so protect yourself! Please!
Reply:Ask Michael Jackson!!!!
Reply:No, I don't think so coz skin whitening soap will make your skin very dry..

To protect your skin from UV rays use any good sun block / sun screen..

Skin discoloration?

I have been breaking out in the same area of my face for almost a year now ( my jawline/lower cheek area), so I have a lot of scarring and hyper pigmentation in that area.

To treat the break outs and scarring I have used everything from lemon juice, to Clean and clear, and Loreal acne products.

Now I have a patch of skin that is getting much lighter than the rest of my face (that is where I usually get the most breakouts).

a.) What could be the reasons for continually breaking out in the same section of my face?

b.) How do I treat the breakouts and scarring in one area of my face without ending up with uneven skin tone ?
Skin discoloration?
You need to see a doctor
Skin discoloration?
It could just be genetic and you have an oily patch on your face. Maybe your pores are weird right there or something. What you need to do, it sounds like, and needed to have done long ago, was go to your doctor. If over-the-counter stuff isn't working, you need a prescription acne medication. I had to use Retin-A for years.

SKIN CLEARING METHOD: It isn't working?!?!?! T__T?

Ok, so what I do is apply Duac in the morning after I wash my face with Cetaphil wash then moisturize (Cetaphil w/ SPF) then afterwards I put on light mineral makeup (Bare Minerals) to cover my acne and blemishes. At night I apply Differin after I wash with the same Cetaphil cleanser. After I eat at night, I take one pill of Solodyn. I've been using this method for 3-4 MONTHS and I've had fewer breakouts but I still have soooooo many bumps on my face and some bigger pimples on my face with sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... many blemishes on mostly my cheeks and forehead. Oh and I have many scars too! I feel soooo ugly, yes UGLY, and nothing seems to work! I always wonder why no one else I am around struggles like this. All these instructions are given to me from my dermatoligist. Can someone tell me some tips on what to do to make my skin clear faster? Oh, %26amp; my makeup sometimes fades away after a while so are there any good makeup suggestions that's good for my skin? TY!
SKIN CLEARING METHOD: It isn't working?!?!?! T__T?
proactiv. and clearasil tinted so it covers it up as opposed 2 make up.
SKIN CLEARING METHOD: It isn't working?!?!?! T__T?
Hey, you're not alone in the "feeling ugly" mode when it comes to acne! I used to have HORRIBLE acne...I hated it and everyone always commented on my face or had some tip of advice, etc, etc.....very annoying and like I didn't already know it was there, right?:-) Anyway, I started using Proactiv a few years ago and it works AMAZING for me......cleared my face up within 3 days.....don't know if you've tried it but it might be worth a shot. And the only makeup I use is TruBlend Compact Powder in Medium Translucent by Cover Girl....and it seems to do ok for me....good luck!:-)
Reply:You may want to look into changing your makeup. I went to Sephoria recently and they said it causes a lot of breakouts in people, including MAC. Also, what are you eating? What you eat does play a major role. I recently had to cut out major sugars and add water to my diet and that has been a major help. I hope things get better for you soon. I know exactly how you feel.
Reply:Have some confidence. There is a girl in my school with a whole lot of acne scars and pimples, yet all the guys fall for her because she's such a sweetheart.
Reply:Oh dear, I feel for you. I am an acne prone myself too. But don't use too many products in your face because this is the most sensitive part in our body. These things are very unpredictable. What I would suggest to you is not to use many products because you won't know what's effective into your skin. If you think Cetaphil or other cleansers that you apply is not working and causes you breakouts then stop it and vice versa. Whatever happens don't be tempted to pop them as it will lead for more permanent scarring.

When you use cosmetics make sure that it doesnt clog pores. Here's some quick facts and myths about acne and hope it helps.
Reply:I used the same treatment as you so dont worry its not only you..... I had severe acne and i felt so ugly. I tried the same treatment as you and it didnt work. Then i got murad and it was a miracle it was clearer in 1 week hope you take my advice and buy murad acne complex! good luck!!! :)
Reply:well I use neutrogena cleansing cloths and I have normal skin and it doesn't dry it out at all.
Reply:Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

Skin Problem??

i have bad skin with alot of acne. is there any way i could get rid of my acne without buying cleansers? but i do not have oily skin. and does toothpaste remove blemishes on your face? is that a myth or fact? really wanted to know that.
Skin Problem??
its a very spread around myth.

dont listen to the people who say its true ive tried it the only thing that works for me is proactive sorry hun.

if you cant afford that just use cetaphil daily facewash to get rid of the shinyness

%26lt;3much love
Skin Problem??
wash your face 3 times a day
Reply:You should check out a dermatologist. MOst likely they are going to tell you to buy Neutrogena face wash and possibly prescribe you medicine for ance. Birth control also helps manage acne too. The toothpaste works if you have a pimple and put the toothpaste on it over night, it should be mostly gone if not totally by the morning.
Reply:Toothpaste is good for a 'quick fix'. But not for all over the face or long term use.

You're going to have to buy facial cleansers, no way around it, sorry.

OR, you can use regular soap, it is not recommended cause it's rather drying, but definetly better than toothpaste every day. Just be sure to moisturize daily.
Reply:toothpaste does dry out pimples and help make them go away, and trust me if u want to get rid of ur acne u need to get a face cleanser, i would advise getting clean%26amp;clear(morning burst is good but i havent tried any of their acne treatment cleansers) and be sure to wash ur face with a face cloth 2-3 times a day and dont scrub hard

edit: k i just read the first answer and i couldnt disagree more, do not waste ur money on proactive and toothepaste isnt a pimple killer but it does help
Reply:Drink more water, and stay away from junk foods. Your diet will show up in your skin! And toothpaste isn't made for skin, and may dry it out. Nothing REMOVES blemishes, only aids in healing/drying them up. Exfoliating may help you.
Reply:I've tried tooth paste it works but after a couple of days it makes your face really dry and around your nose get irritated some one suggested to me to put a soiled diaper on my face I wouldn't ever dare oh and proactive doesn't work
Reply:I have acne too not much works. It helps if you clean your face with antibacterial soup (I use dial) then use rubbing alcohol on your face. That's what I do. And I don't know about the toothpaste???
Reply:invest in a cleanser, even a cheap one. anything to help clear the zits! toothpaste is not an effective way to treat acne. buy something with benzoyle peroxide or salicylic acid to dry up your existing blemishes, and help prevent new ones from forming. a good skin care ritual is to use a cleanser, a toner, a spot cream (for pronounced zits), and a lotion to keep everything even. hopefully this helps!
Reply:You cannot get rid of acne or keep your skin in good shape without cleansing, toning and moisturizing twice a day and exfoliating once to twice a week. Toothpaste is different for everyone, all it does is dry out the blemish so sometimes it will work, but on other it could leave a dry patch.
Reply:You want to get rid of acne without buying cleansers?

A big part of getting clear skin is keeping it clean. Which means finding a good cleansing system and using it twice daily.

The only advice I can give you is to drink eight glasses of water daily, and take a multi-vitamin. Although a cleansing system would help speed up the process.

There are many theories behind the toothpaste, and I have to say that it does not work. I have tried it, and it only made it worse.
Reply:YOu do have to buy cleansers to get rid of acne. I use Clean %26amp; Clear cleanser and find one with 1% salytic acid in it. It helps get rid of your acne. And ive tried toothpaste but its never worked for me.
Reply:I don't know if toothpaste helps or not, but if you wash your face with warm water every morning and every night, that will definitely help. Try using sea breeze, it will clean all the dirt and oil off of your face and un clog your pores, which will help clear your complexion up, but it won't dry out your skin. It's a really good product. If that doesn't work you can try Proactive. It's kind of expensive, but it's supposed to work really well. Good luck!!
Reply:drink lots of water sweetie=] it helps

and im on the same situation but its really

working clean your face with any regular soap

it helps! TRUST ME! wash you face every time you

go to sleep.(night and morning)

eat lots of vegetables and fruitss.

and once again dont forget to drink lots of water

and toothpaste makes the pimples less red..so yeah =]]

hopefully it helps..!!
Reply:Agreed with Baker W.

Try dove mosturizer face wash.

It sounds crazy but if you use it every day,

your skin really does start to clear up!

No kidding,

hope this helps!

Reply:You could try to just wash your face with regular soap, but to tell you the truth i think it works better to use facial cleansers, and I've never herd that myth so i cant help you with that.
Reply:the best way to manage acne is through diet, water is key plenty of it and none of it should contain chlorine. the best wash is truly pure water if you purchase a gallon of distilled water and use it and Ivory soap to wash your face with, you will notice an immense improvement in the tone and texture of your skin, be sure to get plenty of minerals in your diet if you feel you are lacking use a multi-mineral supplement zinc and magnesium are fantastic for the skin. also be sure to exercise regularly and don't smoke! smoking is the worst thing you can do for your body not just your skin, if you do, quit now and start breathing again oxygen is the other great cleanser it does work! check with your doctor to be sure there isn't an underlying cause for the acne sometimes there can be a dermotological infection present that requires the use of an antibiotic to clear up. but mostly pure water diet and regular exercise will make most skin problems lessen if not improve dramatically. and don't use toothpaste on your skin it is essentially a polish intended for a much harder surface and can damage soft tissue, that's why it says not to brush to hard or with more than a small amount of it on the brush.
Reply:green tea. use it as a face wash and drink it. a little bit of lime and some oatmeal. with that you can build your own face wash and it works good. i would reccomend buying some face washes, and that would be any of the biore products. they work great and are really cheap. about $5 or so. you can get them at wal-mart or any drug store. they work excellent. don't put toothpaste on your face. it is good to plump up your lips a little bit though. sorry i couldn't help more. good luck though.

Tips on revamping my skin care routine?

My skin isn't looking great at the moment and I really need to get myself into a good skin care routine.

Has anyone got any tips?

I'm in my mid 20's, I don't smoke or drink coffee and tea and have relatively dry skin but my T zone can get a little greasy sometimes.

I rearly wear foundation and never wear powder - my daily make up consists of concealer, mascara and sometimes eye shadow.

I'm pretty lazy too so I want to be able to look after my skin without too much hassle or expence.

I am quite prone to spots on my jaw but everywhere else is ok. I'm also starting to develop a couple of fine lines around my eyes.

If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.

Reply:Well i use to suffer bad acne, I tried a whole range of expensive cosmetics but with no avail. I even tried Clinique which came highly recommended but it was like putting paint stripper on my face and was in agony. However Dermatologica is fab, I swear by it, expensive yes but the results are amazing. I have the three step range; the bar or the foaming cleanser (which you can get in a clay form also for spots),the exfoliator, the conditioner (which we would call the toner) then the skin smoothing cream which I use in the harsh months and the Oil free lotion which I use in the summer, and before I retire to bed I apply pure Aloe Vera gel which is available in health shops, if I have do have a little spot outbreak I add in a drop of Lavendar oil to the Aloe Vera gel, which is a god send. What it says on the label of Dermatologia really does happen, don't know how I would get by with out it!! The products last a long time too, as you only need a little bit at a time when you use it. The sunscreens they have are great too. Theres are great website which offers the full range of these products to suit every skin tone, it's: www.beautyflash.co.uk. P.S I also went to see a hospital dermatologist and the saying about too much chocolate causes spots is a load of s**t, it is mainly hormonal. Fresh fruit, veg, plenty of water, and if you can tolerate it green tea and even a little sunshine definetly helps. Hope this info has helped.
Reply:Wow kellie m is sort of like me! I tried Clinique but it didn't make my skin feel any healthier, my face felt a bit hard even though it looked smooth. My friends with really soft and clear skin recommended Dermalogica so off I went for my consultation and came out with some samples, bought the stuff online and one month in I have lovely clear skin.. one which is not hard but as soft as a baby's bum! I have normal/combination skin so I need to use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser, morning and night. 2 times a week I need to use a masque and 2 times a week I need to exfoliate! I also use their Medicated Clearing Gel to target sports directly when I get any (only a few tiny ones). I really recommend it but the skin care regime all lies around your skin type so just go on their site and find your nearest dermatologist! x
Reply:If it's tips you're looking for, it's tips you shall find! I found this awesome site that does general information on skin care and health, but even cooler, they do an interactive radio show that answers questions live on skin problems and tips in general. Hope this helps!

Skin Doctors?

Apparently you can find specialistis that monitor your skin for changes in freckles and moles to make sure you don't develop skin cancer. What are they called and do you need a referal for your first visit?
Skin Doctors?
I'm not sure if it is a brand name (probably is), but in my area (in Australia), there are a heap of clinics called 'Mole Scan' (and no referral needed)... but you can always check with your dermatologist, they should be able to point you ini the right direction.

In the USA you do not need a referal.

Skin bleaching should not be banned and why?

person must have the right to do what ever they desire whether they want to bleach their skin, tone their skin, fry or stew it. That is their decision some people might think that it is dangerous but it is how a individual apply it and how often he or she does it. And thats my point of view whats yours?
Skin bleaching should not be banned and why?
a dermatologist should be involved. other than that opinion it isn't banned.

Skin type I, II, or II?

I'm unsure which tanning category to place myself in: I, II, or III.

I do not need to be instructed on the dangers of skin cancer; I am educated.

- I am of 75% First-Generation Italian descent, and 25% English/German. Both of my parents acquire a deep mediterranean tan, and rarely ever burn.

- I have green eyes, medium-dark brown hair, and very, very milky-pinky fair skin.

- I tend to avoid the sun; however, if in direct sun for awhile (I've never timed it) - I do burn.

- I have never truly attempted to tan, and the darkest I've ever been was maybe a shade darker.

- I don't really freckle.

I am unsure of which SPF sunscreen I should wear during this beach season - for the first time, I'd like to attempt to get a tan. How long should I sit out daily? 8-10 minutes? SPF30? Higher? Lower? I do not wish to risk a burn.
Skin type I, II, or II?
If you rarely burn (which sounds as if you're concerned with that part), and if you're willing to tan this summer, then just buy some tanning oil with a little SPF. It's enough to tan, and enough to NOT get burned.

You can lay out in the sun as long as you'd like until you've reached your desired tan. Make sure you don't fry your brains though. And be hydrated lol. Always flip so both sides can get the tan.

I know you're concerned about the dangers, but as long as you don't continously do it, along with going to tanning salons every week, then you will surely be fine. Don't overthink it too much :]
Skin type I, II, or II?
You aren't a 1 if you can tan. You sound like you are a 2 or 3 on the Fitzpatrick scale. The number on an sunscreen (the SPF) represents the amount of time it protects your skin from UVB rays. Assuming it takes you 20 minutes to start turning red, and SPF of 15 last 15 times longer than nothing, so it would "last" 5 hours. But you should always reapply after 2 hours. Since this formula makes it look like numbers are negligible, the higher the SPF, the higher the percentage of UVB rays blocked.

Most doctors and estheticians recommend that a person should wear SPF 15 everyday, for everyday sun exposure. So if you are going to be out activley seeking the sun you want to go 30 or higher. Be sure that you do a skin test before you go out in the sun, one of the ingredients in PABA sunscreens can cause skin reactions.

Skin question?

the skin on my face is dry. i moisturize but it doesn't seem to help. what are some things i can do to make my skin smoother and not so dry. any certain kinds of great moisturizers that really work well? please send links along if possible. thanks!
Skin question?
Cheap moisturizers are the best :) x
Skin question?
i use aveeno because it's really thick, but sometimes that's a down side. i get it at walgreens or target. i also have some sensitive skin moisturizer from my dermatologist that works way better and seems lighter. try using a gentle exfoliating mask, wash, or scrub on your face to eliminate all the flaky dry skin. once or twice a week should be enough. good luck! =)

Reply:use a moisturizing clenser insted of other ones moisturize while skin is damp i use oil of olay but use what yoyu like if you still have dry skin problems try natural oils such as almond, avacado, or olive
Reply:I think you should exfoliate first. You can try St. Ive's Apricot Scrub. It's available in most stores. It will slough off dead skin so that your moisturizer can penetrate your skin.

As for the moisturizers, you can find one that you like. I would suggest a basic moisturizer such as Oil of Olay's original Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid. It shouldn't be too hard to find. It's not heavy and that's why I like it.

Reply:it might be your cleanser. sometimes when cleansers have to much alcohol they dry out your skin. try getting the same brand of face wash and moisturizer, also washing your face with bar soaps can also dry you out. try neutrogena its cheap and they have a variety to choose from
Reply:Ok I have this stuff on my face which causes it too get really dry! I have the same issues, so i need some prescription gel kinda cream called Desodine. It is awsome! Ask a doctor if it would help you. And well if you cant..I just lost that awsome cream of mine so i needed to switch untill i can replace it, and the best thing ive found is eucerin. Id cosider you use it before you go to sleep use like a lot to quench the skin. DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE ALOT! wash it like once in the morning and at night! Refrain from touching it!!! That makes it dirty and causes pimples! Also in the morning try a light morstrizer that doesnt leave a shine. I personally use a special sunblock, which is not thick and also helps against the sun, but its only a 30 and it helps with future skin issues like wrinkles"DDF organic Sun Protection".Plus Plus. If you use make up, concealers and foundation dry your skin.
Reply:Go to a chemist, supermarket or beauty shop and buy make-up removing wipes, cleansing lotion, toner, moisturizer and facial scrub. Make sure you get them for your skin type, eg. sensitive skin, dry skin. As long as it is a reputable store, their own brand should be cheaper but the same quality as expensive brands.

Wash your face with WARM water every morning. Then, clean your face with the cleanser. Rub it in circles all over your face for about 30 seconds and rinse off. Pat your face dry with a towel and apply toner with cotton wool. When the toner has dried, apply moisturizer. Next apply your make up.

Take off your make up with the wipes you've bought every night before you go to sleep. Wash your face with cold water again, use toner, and moisturizer.

OPTIONAL: Make an emergency zit kit including a zit cream that has salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide, a cream that reduces redness, a concealer stick, and translucent powder (the powder should absorb excess oils on your face).

Wait a few weeks; you should notice that your skin becomes smoother and clearer.

FAST TIP:

A super easy overnight way to rid your self of all pimples is....

Materials--%26gt; Equal parts water and baking soda

Do--%26gt; Mix together and apply with a regular-size Q-Tip directly on the pimple. Do not rub in. Will dry zit and decrease redness. Optional: After mixture is dry, apply a toner/cleanser/moisturizer or solution like ProActiv.
Reply:I would try the Arbonne RE9 its anti aging as well. It works great.

How can I aid/prevent dehydrated looking skin?

To be more clear, every time I take a shower, go in the pool or the ocean (basically when I come in contact with water) my skin gets all dry, it looks "dehydrated", like I can see white skin, like it looks like its peeling and ashy kinda. This only appears on my upper back and face. I was wondering if anyone knew what I can do to prevent it from doing that, from looking like its all dehydrated and peeling. Maybe it's that I don't scrub as hard? Possibly dead skin? (I only rub soap on myself, not much of a "scrubbing" action). Or maybe I just get ashy fast without moisture in my skin? Overall, I just want to do something to "rehydrate" and prevent my skin from getting dry and looking all peely/ashy like that. I think I may have oily skin, maybe that's what's causing it?

Just a small thought, is it normal for a person to get all ashy/peely looking like when they go in the pool/ocean? It occurs on my upper back and face...
How can I aid/prevent dehydrated looking skin?
Drink more water. It is essential to hydrating your skin. As for the ashy/peely look, it's probably from the chlorine in the pool the salt in the ocean, and the excess sun. Be sure to cleanse your face and use lotions that will exfoliate your skin.

Skin problem?

i have these small (smaller then a dime) red dry spots on my skin. sometimes they itch sometimes they dont. sometimes they get really dry and turn white becuase of the skin (which scrapes off but its not good when it gets scraped off) what should i do / use on them?
Skin problem?
Hi. It sounds like you might have eczema. It's a skin condition that my cousin used to have. Your skin just tends to get really dry. You should probably go to a dermatologist for it. You could even go to your doctor for it. Also my friend has it and she only drinks water now because it helps alot! I didn't even know she had it but I guess the combination with her medicine and water helps it from comming back. Im very concious with my skin too so i hope everything turns out ok! Good luck!
Skin problem?
Use cream. It sounds like dry skin.
Reply:go to a dermatologist
Reply:Sounds like some kind of fungus infection, or eczema. Go to a dermatologist. Cortisone cream usually helps with the itching.
Reply:Sounds like eczema. See a doctor for Rx lotion.
Reply:Sounds almost like you may have ezema?
Reply:Try flushing your system and juicing some live cell foods such as carrots ....and a good natural lotion and hope it's not your nerves .
Reply:check WebMD %26amp; see if you can narrow it down some. It could be a reaction to a soap or product or it could be something else. Good luck to you.
Reply:this sounds like staph you need to go to your family dockter
Reply:Sounds like eczema-try hydrocortisone cream. If that doesn't help go to a dermatologist.
Reply:Do not keep touching or scratching them no matter how much they itch. The best thing to do would be to put E45 cream on them daily. Make sure you exfoliate daily and be sure to use a good moisturiser. You could even use the E45 cream after a bath. You can buy them from pretty much any chemist or boots.
Reply:I HAVE THE SAME THING!

Go to the dermatologist and tell him about it. Lubriderm lotion works the best for that kind of skin. I started doing these things and they're gone. Your probably going to see kind of light colored spots. That's normal. that stuff is gona be there 4 evr
Reply:Sounds like your allergic to some think or a mild form of Eczema ((small red dry spots, itchy)) but I'm not a doctor although i have to be with my 2 children! LOL. I think you should go see your Doctor to be on the safe side, until then try some body moisturizer, it does help with the itching.

-x-
Reply:try some calamine lotion... its for rashes and fungi... it worked for me
Reply:It is eczema. You must put lotion on every day. I have also had this for years. My dermatologist told me that after I get out of the shower - it takes only 3 minutes to start losing moisture in your skin. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate - Eucerin is the best lotion, but it is expensive.

I also have been taking Evening Primrose supplements and it definitely has made a HUGE difference.

Also, my doctor told me I could try Benedryl and that seems to work as well (I take it at night because it makes you drowsy)

Good luck!

I know how you feel it sucks to have it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Go see a dermatologist. There are several things it could be, like psoriasis, pityriasis, eczema, or one of many other skin conditions. Treatments of skin conditions vary from creams/ointments to pills and even UV (light) therapy. The doctor may have to do a biopsy to diagnose it. Don't worry- biopsies aren't only for suspected cancer! Although, when a skin sample of a spot is taken, the doctor will check and make sure it isn't cancerous, just to be on the safe side. He/she will also look at the skin cells and what's in and around them to determine what the problem is. Skin biopsies usually don't hurt badly because you're given a shot of anesthetic in the skin where the biopsy will be taken from, and you shouldn't need much more than a little gauze dressing on it afterward.

Only a dermatologist can diagnose you and prescribe appropriate treatments.

Does liver health effect skin health?

I'm lloking at a catalog that sells supplements. One of the supplements has B-complex nutrients "to tone the liver and support beautifull skin". It got me thinking-I used to drink a lot of alcohol and take abuse pills, but I mean...not every single day. Now, I have extremely dry skin-regular moisterizer does not work hardly at all and the only think that works is Aplha Hyphoxy Acid...which is expensive. I usually by that Neutrogena stuff...Healthy Skin. What do you think of Liver condition affecting skin health? Does Vinager help my liver if I drink a little every day? Thanks for your help

I am 30 btw.
Does liver health effect skin health?
yes liver problems do show up in your skin

a couple examples are if you have sluggish metabolism and

low enzymes your skin loses its luster.

You get age (liver) spots as you grow older from poor liver.

Your liver can still be good but not up to par.

It can also be related to leaky gut syndrome

B complex, essential fatty acids (omega, flaxseed,...) and enzymes are all good for supporting you liver/skin

the fatty acids especially moisten your skin

most possible but u can try using some creams too

Skin poures?

how does ur skin look like when ur skin poures r shut i know this is a silly question to ask but i can't explain it to my lil sister plz help thanks u
Skin poures?
well pores are just little holes on your face basically which can trap dirt on your face. thats why its important to wash your face everyday. if you use a cleanser on your face with warm water, it opens your skin up, then rinse with cold water or use a toner so it closes your pores and keeps them tight so you dont get as much dirt in them throughout the day. theres so many of them that you cant really tell when theyre shut, but you will be able to tell if they have been by how clear your skin is.

use matte make-up that won't clogg your pores.

crush some oatmeal into powder and get one egg white that's been beaten till foamy. mix the powdery oatmeal and egg white untill you get a thick messy goop and put a thick layer on your face and leave until dry. then wash your face off with warm water and then cold water. this will help with the oil on your face and any blemishes.

you can also use a ready made product. i really like the biore brand.
Reply:Work from the inside as well, and drink lots of water. You can puy 'Pore reducing' cleansers and face masks, and ive heard the Avon pore reducing face mask is good..but there are lots out there. Make sure you cleanse and moisturise twice a day(finish off with cool water on your skin). If you have oily skin, still use a moisturiser ,as that will help balance your skin. By not using it,your skin will over compensate and create more oil...but always use products that dont clog your pores. Also, use a toner, get a good 6 to 8 hours sleep, and eat plenty of fruit and vegies. If your hair is a little oily, tie it back away from your face as well ok. I will add a link below where you can find homemade recipies for every type of skin care..this site has everything..for hair as well.
Reply:know this sounds weird, but it works. I'm 25 and wish I had found it years ago. I have super super oily skin and used to have to wash my face by lunch.

This is my secret: Milk of magnesia as a primer under foundation or powder.

Cheap, easy, and SUPER effective at keeping my face matte for the majority of the day and my pores looking smaller. Nothing else has worked for me like milk of magnesia. It also makes the application of my makeup look even. I use it daily.

Just in case you are wondering, milk of magnesia is the laxative/antacid that you can buy at the drugstore. Commonly called Maalox or Phillips. You can buy a big bottle of generic ($4) and it works just the same. Milk of magnesia is a mineral and is not harmful to the skin. In fact, it is probably better than some of the more expensive primers which may have irritants that can cause dicoloration and breakouts. Milk of magnesia helps to calm skin and can even help to get rid of some of the bacteria in pores. The key is to apply a very thin layer before applying makeup. I, too, use mineral foundation. Works great together.

Skin fold?

Every time I slouch or bend over my skin always folds in the same place. The result is that I have a pink line that stretches across my abdomen. Is there any way to get rid of this? I know it must be hard to control where you skin folds, but is there anyway to diminish the appearance of that pink line?
Skin fold?
everyones skin folds when you bend over, because you say you are skinny (which i believe you) it seems to help you develop a line because you have no fat to distribute the weight of extra skin ( and you probably dont have extra skin)...there is no way to get rid of it but i would just try and not bend over as long

may not help but it happens to everyone

except most overweight ppl because their skin stretches over more of the body

:)%26lt;3
Reply:Making the best choices for our bodies, and ultimately our skin, is achieved through good diet/ food, exercise, regular professional treatments, personalized homecare, and above all, a healthy mental attitude.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...

Skin Whitening?

I was interested in facial skin whitening? :

1. Is it harmful?

2. What are the results like (have you used it) , do they make your really really pale, or just a few shades lighter?

3. Do they make your skin look flawless?

Thanks
Skin Whitening?
As what I've said before, you've come to the right guy! (I'm the editor in chief in our publication), although some of them who already got the answers, mine is brief and believe me i've already tried tons of skin-whitening products before (specially on FACE)! I'll tell you an answer base from my own personal experience rather than answers that could only get on the net (which is truly rampant here)...

Basically, Im a Filipino, and as we all know Asian have fair complexion, and base from the studies, majority of Asian race always runs for these skin whitening products! Anyway, let's get started...

1. No, it's not harmful. Personally, I havent experienced any trouble using different skin whitening products for EIGHT YEARS (since 2nd yr. highschool up to date as 5th yr. Engineering student--i think if i'll try to sum it from soaps to lotions to astringents to creams, i've already undergone 10 different products)... the only thing would happen is, of course, you'll get whiter skin, but the speed of result varies on the product (as of now, the best product I could promote which is cheap as well is OLAY-- and it isnt harmful as well even if you're not old enough to use it-- trust me! im only 21 years old!)

2. Honestly, (do you know chin-chan-su? it's known here in philippines made from china and it's very very cheap too!), i've made some mistakes using those as i put the product very often, from morning upto evening, and the result---- i looked like a ghost as my classmates keep laughing on me, oh how embarrassing that was! Yes, it made my face very pale (i only used it on my face) and the product made my skin very oily too!

3. IT DEPENDS.. Some whitening soap could make your skin very dry; some astringents could lighten your skin as it helps to soften, minimize the pores, and smoothen it, but what's the bad thing is, it could also leaves the pimple marks dark (if you have pimples) and your face too oily; and some cream only makes your skin white but if you take a closer look at your face, it could be rough and dry like having a dead skin cells.

A good combination would be a whitening facial wash (as it wouldnt make your face rough and dry compare to soaps), then apply whitening astringents VERY GENTLY, lastly the cream (better to use Nivea whitening facial cream or what Im using right now, Olay)...

REMEMBER: Whitening your skin doesnt mean your freckles/blemishes would also vanish... yes, some could lighten your face but the marks could be left behind.

If you want to, here's my strategy:

L'oreal pure zone exfoliating facial wash

L'oreal pure zone pore tightening astringent

the most important of all, OLAY for blemish prone skin

Actually I dont know your skin type (normal, oily, dry), but using the three of those thrice a day would be promising enough to a better complexion.

Not being boastful, but many people always tell me that I've a fairer skin now compared before.... I finally found the right combination!

Wish you could found yours too!
Skin Whitening?
I don't know, didn't know anyone did that but Micheal Jackson.
Reply:uhm, the only way a person would need skin lightening is if they have scars (like acne scars) otherwise i dunno why you wouldn't like your complexion. It's about looking healthy n glowy not white n pale cause dead people look like that :)

Reply:I dont think its harmful its pretty mubh normal for people to use whitening soaps/lotions in some countries..

ive used whitening soap before and it made me 2 shades lighter it depends how often you use it

not all of the products make your skin flawless but if you get your skin lightened professionally or something they can probably make your skin flawless but soaps will help..
Reply:Not sure but how ever your skin is LEAVE IT. I love dark skin and think its lovely. Accept yourself for who you are and love yourself cause your brilliant no matter what anyone says
Reply:Avoid sunlight exposure if you are not using a sunblock 30 and above! UV rays can cause pigmentation. creams and lotions are available in the market but never get one without you consulting your dermatologist or test the product yourself as there are certain products who worked on others but maybe not on you. Dermatologist can do skin peeling and give you appropriate creams to apply on, then there are pills your doctor may give you to enhance your treatment and which can lighten your skin evenly and that is GLUTHATIONE. This is an anti oxidant that has a whitening effect, it controls the melanin... But make sure to ask your derma about the dosage that is appropriate for you. Here in the philippines, actress and other TV personalities use gluthatione and I bet they look so beautiful. The skin is perfectly even and it is pinkish white. If you have a dark underarms it will lighten up and if you have pigmentations it will lighten up also. Therapy is for life and the result will appear after 3 months. There has been no reported side effects. I don't know if its the same pills michael jackson is taking but I guess it's not coz this gluthatione will make you natural looking. It is expensive that's why filipinos rarely buy it only those who can afford and if their work requires them to...:-)

Skin tips.?

if you have any face tips please give them 2 me.like about white heads, blackheads, pimples, zits, oily skin, dry skin, good face washes, bad face washes, how to get rid of pimples, blackheads and zits and stuff like that. AND what is a toner. thanks for your tips!!
Skin tips.?
drink water and use the bathroom like 2 or 3 times a and this will remove the toxins out of your body and the clean and clear acne kit i used that and it helps alot or tea tree oil from your local health food store
Skin tips.?
When looking at face washes, make sure you read what the product says it treats. But honestly, tons of the stuff out there doesn't work.

It also depends on your skin type. If you have tons of acne, the most important thing is to make sure your face is clean. Oil and dirt just makes your pores clog up and causes more acne. Look for face washes specifically for acne. The main ingredient in acne face washes is salicylic acid (just different concentrations of it). Problem w/ salicylic acid is that it tends to dry out your skin so it is essential to lotion your face. Also, if your face is too dry, your skin will over compensate for that and will end up producing even more oil. I personally can't use anything with salicylic acid because it dries my face out way too much even with lotion (but my acne isn't bad anymore). I like using cetaphil's face wash since it is really mild and doesn't have salicylic acid.

I've heard Neutrogena oil free face wash is good. There are face washes w/ lil beads that scrubs your face too. I've used Aveeno Daily Scrub Skin Brightening that is good but not specifically for acne.

When buying lotions make sure it says it's non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). However, even if it does say non-comedogenic, really it means it is "less likely" to clog your pores. Some may and some may not. A good lotion I've found is Eucerin Original Lotion and Eucerin Replenishing lotion. I like Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion too, but it doesn't feel as smooth as Eucerin. Although they aren't specifically made for your face, I find them to work well. Don't buy anything that says "creme" for your face, because it will be extremely thick.

Some people "pop" their pimples. I'm not sure if it really helps, but I personally wouldn't. It can lead to scarring and if you're doing it w/ your hands, you will probably get more dirt in your pores.

Blackheads... really annoying lil stinkers.. There are blackhead strips that you can use. They do seem to work somewhat, but it can damage your skin too. Also, the strips wouldn't be able to get down deep in your pores. If you REAALLY want to get your blackheads out, I heard facials are good.. but expensive.

Toners basically removes any dirt left after you wash your face. You put some on a cotton-ball and rub it on your face. It also closes up your pores after you wash. Toners have some sort of astringent and alcohol. Look for toners with witch hazel (type of astringent). The higher the concentration of alcohol, the more it dries out your face though. So watch out for that. Neutrogena has an alcohol-free toner.

If you were wondering about order: wash your face first, use toner, then moisturize.

Hope this helps! :-)
Reply:Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but choose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in well and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...

Skin Problems - please help!!?

I am 36 years old and have always had problems with my skin.

Whenever I get any spots, they always leave a scar or a hole. Also, I constantly have "White spots". I don't know what causes them or how to get rid of them. They are not like normal spots that go away - they never go but they do seem to be increasing. I know that at 36, my skin will never be perfect, but this has been going on for years (probably since my teens).

Any ideas of things that I can do or products that I can use to help??
Skin Problems - please help!!?
Hi, there. There is no way to make a diagnosis via the Web, but your skin may be trying to tell you a few things. The spots may be your body's way of getting rid of toxins, or may be the natural result of over-active sebaceous glands (the glands that produce oil in the skin). The white spots may be white heads, which means the spots contain pus that your body is trying to get rid of.

Here's what I recommend: Use a natural soap containing with Tea Tree Oil. (Healthfood stores carry several. Chose one that uses all vegetable oils but that is NOT glycerin based.) Wash your face 2-3 x/day with the Tea Tree Oil soap. Eucalyptus and Rosemary essential oils are also excellent for skin conditions such as yours. Look for products containing any of the above 3 essential oils plus the herbs comfrey, chamomile or calendula. All are very healing and soothing to the skin.

On a daily basis, open your pores by taking a steamy shower or by laying a very warm washcloth over your face. Then wash with the natural soap. To further cleanse and purify your skin and to tighten up the pores, pat Witch Hazel extract over your face after washing it. Cleanse and tone your face 3 times per day if you can.

Drink as much water as you can, as it will help your body "flush" out the impurities that are marking your skin. Avoid processed white sugar (or try to), as it harms your body's ability to fight toxins that can cause acne. Eat many brightly colored fruits and veggies, and avoid hydrogenated fats at all costs. If you can, eliminate dairy products from your diet for two weeks. You may see a surprising difference. If not, slowly re-introduce them into your diet and see if any change occurs.

On a weekly basis, whip up a blend of 1/2-1 c. natural yogurt (without sugars or flavorings) with 1/2 c. avocado. (Substitute papaya, applesauce (w/out sugar), or mashed banana for the avocado if desired). Blend this mixture and then spread over your face and allow to dry. When dry, gently blot off with warm water. This mask with gently cleanse and nourish your skin and will also provide the skin with natural Alpha-hydroxy acids that will help clarify your. Sorry to have rambled. I wish you the very best of luck!

Drink lots of water

Clean your skin each evening, I use a facial wipe

I use Boot's own facial scrub which is great.
Reply:try bio oil worked for me it removes scars left by spots
Reply:I'm not an expert but I have learnt one thing (I'm 38).

I can only use Nivea on my skin. I have tried everything else, including all the expensive stuff and always ended up regrettting it.

So, find a product that suits your skin, a good cleanser or soap and wash it everyday. Don't forget to apply a good cream afterwards.

Try dry oats, add a little water and make into paste. You only need a small amount. Paste it on to your face and leave for how long you feel you can. It can be messy but works.

Or you can try crushing paracetamol and make into paste with a dash of water and apply to affected areas.

Use mild cleasing product. with warm water.

Hope it works for you!

Skin tags on armpits, caused by shaving?

I have small brown patches of raised dry skin, almost like little skin tags, on my armpits. They aren't painful but are quite noticeable, particularly where they cluster together, and I feel very conscious of them. I went to the doctors a few years ago when I first started getting them and she stated there was nothing I could do?
Skin tags on armpits, caused by shaving?
These are harmless and can be removed medically by laser or you can pinch the blood out of them and whilst doing so tie them off with nylon line or similar . After a few days they will drop off. They are caused by the skin rubbing together and also appear at the top of the inner thighs. Hope this helps.
Skin tags on armpits, caused by shaving?
I developed skin tags on different parts of my body while pregnant with my first child, and my OB/GYN said I could have them removed if I wanted to. I chose not to (why not? you ask... I don't know...) I'm pregnant again and have one on my pit now, and have full intentions of having them removed after I give birth. Maybe you should try another doctor, because if a mole can be removed, why not a skin tag?

Need imediate answers! wrinkly skin at 14?

why does the skin on my legs appear wrinkly after i shave them? i am only 14. i also have tiny tiny bits of dry skin on my legs that i can peel off sometimes. it is very weird. if i feelmy legs they are very smooth but they dont look it, you can see dots (of hair) under my skin (i have very dark hair). they feel soft but they dont look freshly shaved even though i shaved 5 mins ago. i also have red bumps but i think many people get them from shaving.

does anyone know why i have wrinkly leg skin at age 14 or red bumps or hair can be seen? is this normal? what should i do?

Thanks x
Need imediate answers! wrinkly skin at 14?
It's probably cellulite. You're fat. Lose weight.
Need imediate answers! wrinkly skin at 14?
You could just be dehydrated. But I am no doctor. I have been dehydrated in the past. One way to tell is if you pull up a small piece of skin and it doesn't bounce back to how it was right away. If this is the case...drink more water. I drink lots of Propell because it has nutrients in it as well...like Gatorade.

Skin pigmentation?
Hiya,

I was told that sun makes it worse so be careful and protect your skin. Apparently a titanium dioxide based cream is best cause it reflects the rays. I bought some from a website called olive organic so you could try there if you can't find any anywhere else. They list all ingredients in their creams. Hope this helps xx

Skin Bleach and Skin Lighteners??

What is the difference?

And my skin tone is fairly uneven and i would like to get it back to its natural state can either of these help?

If so, which one, and do you have any reccomendations?
Skin Bleach and Skin Lighteners??
If you're looking to fade freckles and sunspots go to a dermatologist and have him/her give you a recommendation for a product. Skin lighteners are dangerous to use without any supervision. You could easily damage your skin irreversibly while using them.

Reply:My best friend suffers from eczema and to rid herself of this and the scarring she did the following:

1. Got off all dairy and meat (eggs, cheese, fish, red meat, turkey, chicken, milk, yogurt, butter, etc.)

2. Started drinking tons of water

3. Walked every day religiously

4. Took a bath daily as opposed to a shower and soaked in yellow dock leaves (and/or red clover) as well as drank yellow dock tea (and/or red clover); she said mud masks were helpful too.

5. Switched to all natural skin products with no unidentifiable ingredients.

6. Started eating lots of fresh and frozen foods. Skipped packaged foods with unpronounceable and unrecognizable ingredient names

7. Wore natural fabrics that breathe like cotton and skipped synthetic fabric and blends that suffocate/itch the skin

Of all the above things, she said that cutting the dairy out and drinking much more water was tremendous and resolved this longtime problem for her. I actually shared this with someone else who said the same thing. God bless your health.

Weird question about oily skin?

Recently I think I've dried out my skin to the point where it has started overcompensating and producing *more* oil. Now I'm trying to figure out exactly *which* thing has caused this to happen. (Too much cleansing? Too many oil-blotting sheets? Too much exfoliation? All of the above?). Basically what I want to understand is, How does skin "know" or "detect" that has been dried out to the point where it needs to produce more sebum? Does this have to involve washing or scrubbing? Or is it simply the absence of oil on the surface of the skin (like from using oil blotting sheets, or applying powder too frequently throughout the day)?

If actual washing or scrubbing is required for this change in oil production, then I won't worry about my fairly frequent use of blotting sheets and powder applications (every 2-4 hours). If the skin can "detect" a need to produce more oil from merely blotting %26amp; powdering, then I don't know what to do!

Thanks, %26amp; I hope this question makes sense...
Weird question about oily skin?
Just dove soap is good
Weird question about oily skin?
too much of everything is bad..
Reply:only cleanse twice a day with a gentle cleanser, one that doesnt overdy and dont exfoliate every day, just maybe every two days, and i think its aight to blot your face 6 times a day if u have the money.
Reply:I'm definitely not a dermatologist, but I'd imagine it's the cleansing, not the powder. It's got to be a "deeper" problem than surface oil. I DO agree though that you skin will overcompensate. I was having problems once that my foundation would get icky quickly, so I laid off the moisturizer and the saleswoman at the makeup counter said that I needed to use MORE moisturizer, not less, so my skin didn't get dry and produce extra oil. makes sense to me!
Reply:Read some useful skin care tips on this site to help you
Reply:There actually is such a thing as scrubbing too hard and cleansing to much. It is imprtant to keep skin clean yes, but too much of it can cause damage to the skin. If your skin has become oily, then just wash your face with a cleanser at least two times a day and make sure to put lotion on it anyway. Use oil-blotting sheets, They don't do anything. They simply absorb oil, and they don't scratch or destroy skin cells. Exfoliating should be kept in moderation because it can rip off lots of skin, including live layers of skin, which then causes the skin to produce more oil. It doesn't know or detect, it reacts. Just like red bloods cells turning into strings to create a clot when a cut happens. Your skin reacts to the "dryness" and puts its oil production into overdrive.

Just don't overscrub, over-cleanse or over-exfoliate.

Moisturize and don't take all the oil out of your face, it's only an excess that causes problems. Oily complexions have less wrinkles later on in life. Hope this helps.
Reply:Too much of anything is not a good thing. You should try a cleanser that is soft and not too harsh on your skin. Try switching it up, use a cleanser for oily skin at night, after a long day. Then in the morning use a mild cleanser/sensitive skin, since your face didn't get "dirty" during the night.

Hormonal changes may cause your skin to be different also, especially around your monthly cycle. You may also want to look into using a clay face mask 2-3 times a week at most.

Most importantly, don't be too harsh on your skin because it will only reacts to how you treat it. Try to keep your pores clean and don't scrub too hard. It should very gently. Cut back on the foundation/ make up. Look for a light mostisurizer or Matte one that asorbs quickly and with SPF of at least 15.

GOOD LUCK! :)

It will get better, if not try seeing a dermatologist. Keep in mind, if you are a teenager, it's NORMAL. We all have been through it. :) Your hormones are raging, it will find it's balance. Maintain a balance diet and drink lots of water.
Reply:Over blotting and powdering won't cause this. It could actually be hormonal fluctuations. It could also be the in your makeup. Stay away from anything oil based. Only use scrubs once a week, or you can irritate your skin. Next, try a gentle foaming cleanser that doesn't strip your skin, followed by an alcohol free toner, and then a light weight moisturizer.
