How to clear up your skin to stop using foundation?

My face breaks out so bad and is oily but yet really dry at the same time. I have fair skin very fair and I am so sick of looking like crap. I just spent a ton of money on bare minerals and it looks horrible on me in looks cakey and it accentuates all mu pores and makes my face look really pink when its on. And when I take it off my skin is een drier. I thought it would be a great product because of all the rave reviews. I just want to clear my face up and get to the point where I can just put some cream blush on and some mascara and lip gloss. I want to look nice. I used to have flawless skin and now i can't seem to get it clear let alone find any makeup that works. And now after spending so much on bare minerals I am nervous to spen a ton on anything else. I want glowing skin that doesnt have red pimple marks! Please help with some skin advice.

I have the SAME problem! I have two words. MUD MASK. it really works. you can find in any store and it doesnt have to be EXPENSIVE either. As long as it looks like mud it will work. all you do is put it on your face and let it dry. do this twice a week and at first it will bring out all the pimples even the ones you didnt know you had. then it will clear up your skin. IT WORKED for me. all i can say is try it! IT MIGHT WORK FOR YOU! GOOD luck!

A thing you could do is go tanning. It clears away pimples. I have the same Skin as you. I use Loreal Visable lift. I put moisturizer on before and then i put it on. In my opinion it looks great when its on my skin.. If you go tanning you dont really have to worry about concealer. so i hope that helps
Reply:I had acne when I was really young and got rid of it by using mary-kay products. I think its called the "2 step" or "3 step" tell them you need the product for oily skin. cheaper than buying tons of products from the store that doesnt work. I started using that and my acne was clear in about 2 months. since then, I don't even get a pimple! I just wash my face with normal soap now, but it was worth it then.
Reply:Acne Free works well it is similar to Proactiv, but you can buy it at Walmart. Also, Visine (for eyes) takes the redness out of pimples.
Reply:look all u need is some 5$ oxy u can find it in any drugstore and believe me i know how u feel i had the same problem
Reply:i used proactiv for like 3 months, was really expensive, and barely did anything. right now i'm using oxy for oily skin... (maximum... but you can use any "rank" depending on how oily your skin is)... my skin is no longer oily and i swear my skin cleared up within 2 days! and its sooo much cheaper. i also tried bare minerals, and its a good product, but only when you don't have a ton of blemishes... try blending it in more. it's more about the brush than the product. (also make sure to wash the brushes once a week). anyway, if the bareminerals stuff just isn't working for you, use another brand of mineral makeup so it doesn't clog pores and is actually "good" for your skin. also, NEVER sleep with any kind of makeup on. so make sure to wash your face well, also removing all eye makeup. (you would not believe how well lancome's bi-ficil eye makeup remover works... it seriously just glides right off.) anyway, traces of eye makeup can also clog pores on the skin. when you go to bed, sleep with your hair in a loose ponytail (with snagless elastics... so you don't damage hair) about 80% of my skin problems vanished with just that.

whew. ok well, good luck!
Reply:Try ZAPZYT Maximum Strength 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel. It is awesome! You can buy it online at http://www.drugstore.com for $6 or so. I will warn you though...go EASY on it because it's strong. Be sure to use a moisturizer and a makeup base/foundation that has sunscreen in it.
Reply:a cup of green tea twice a day
Reply:You poor thing. In order to have foundation free face, you must have a skin care routine that will clear up you skin. You sound as if you have classic combo skin and you need products that are formulated for such. I am a Mary Kay consultant, so everything I recommend will be from them.

First I would suggest the Miracle Set from Mary Kay. That has a 3-in-1 cleanser in your combo formula, a moisturizer, the day solution, and the night solution. I would also recommend the Microdermabrasion set for flawless skin.

A description of each:

3-in-1 Cleanser in Oily/Combo - This combination to oily formula washes away excess oil with a lathering cleanser that leaves skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and balanced. It cleanses, exfoliates and freshens in one step as it begins the process to reveal younger-looking skin. Plus, it's gentle enough to use twice a day for soft, smooth and refreshed skin. More importantly, it will provide just the right amount of moisturizer to keep from drying your skin.

Moisturizer Oily/Combo Formula -This oil-free lotion helps reduce the appearance of fine lines for younger-looking skin. Plus, it contains a next-generation antioxidant to guard against free radicals which cause the skin to age. The combination to oily formula helps absorb and control oil while providing essential hydration and special ingredients to give the skin a silky feel with a matte appearance.

The Day Solution - Think of it as a veil of defense. With SPF of 25, this innovative product helps prevent lines and discoloration before they occur by blocking damaging UVA/UVB rays. A calming peptide helps relax expression lines. This is especially important since you are so fair and I'm sure are effected by the sun easily.

The Night Solution - A unique delivery system of encapsulated vitamins and antioxidants combined with collagen-enhancing peptides help fade away deep lines and wrinkles. Nutribeads庐 microcapsules are even more vitamin-packed. Rest assured your skin is being revitalized while you sleep.

Microdermabrasion Set - Fight fine lines, refine pores and achieve beautifully smooth skin 鈥?immediately 鈥?with this simple, two-step set.

Last, you didn't mention, but I am guessing you might have a lot of skin discoloration, so I would also recommend the Even Essence Complexion. It is formulated with a patent-pending Lucentrix鈩?complex, and is clinically shown to restore skin's natural, even tone by helping reduce visible dark spots and reverse skin discoloration.

Last, something that seems very important to you...everything has a 100% guarentee. If you are not happy with it you receive every dollar back or a credit depending on which you prefer. Together everything, including the Even Essence, is about $200 and typically lasts 4 months, but I personally, and so do most consultants, give a discount when the entire line is purchased.

I don't want to sound sales-y, but I hope this helps and contact me if you have any more questions.
Reply:I know how frustrating can be not being able to have a make-up-free day.

Some times we try to find the solution for skin problems using skin care products, but we forget about what is causing the problem. It can be stress, hormonal issues, eating habits.

Try doing a detox diet and taking some B12 vitamin.

Also, Sulfur pomade is really good and it's cheap.
