What is wrong with the skin on my elbows???

The skin on my elbows has lost it's color and has a different texture then the rest of my skin. It has small bumps, but my dermatologist said it is not exzema or psorasis. Any idea what it is?? Could it be my skin is allergic to something I'm using? I have pretty sensitive skin and have changed all of my soaps and laundry detergent to sensitive skin, perfume free, etc.

Looks like Tinea Versicolor. Put Selsun Blue shampoo on, let it dry and leave it overnite. Wash away in the shower in the morning. After 2-3 nights it'll be gone.

It looks alot like a skin condition called vertiligo. Put it this way you know how Michael Jackson's skin used to be dark? well it turned to a white because he had a very severe case of vertiligo. Go to your dermatologist I'm sure there are ways to treat the discoloration of your skin.
Reply:I don't know what's wrong, but I have the very same thing going on with mine, and have for years. I'm not really a doctor person, so I never got them checked out, but I can tell you this. If you scrub them gently every shower or bath with a soft brush, to remove the dead skin and soften them up, then apply moisturizers or lotion, they will soften and look better. The cracking and bleeding will go away. Mine never completely look soft and :"okay", but they are better, but you have to keep up on the same treatment daily. If you slack off they will dry again almost overnight. Try it; I hope this works for you.
Reply:that kinda looks like Tinea Versicolor. I have those types of spots on my shoulders and back. I'm just surprised your Dermatologist couldn't tell you. You should maybe switch doctors. Check out this site....

Reply:First off how long have you had the marks? And from the pictures it doesnt look like eczema or psoriasis. Just from looking at it and not actually feeling the texture it seems like the skin just peeled off in certain areas like from an acidic moisturizer. It looks like the same marks you get as a kid when you fall on the pavement and cut up your hands and knees.
