Skin Problem??

i have bad skin with alot of acne. is there any way i could get rid of my acne without buying cleansers? but i do not have oily skin. and does toothpaste remove blemishes on your face? is that a myth or fact? really wanted to know that.
Skin Problem??
its a very spread around myth.

dont listen to the people who say its true ive tried it the only thing that works for me is proactive sorry hun.

if you cant afford that just use cetaphil daily facewash to get rid of the shinyness

%26lt;3much love
Skin Problem??
wash your face 3 times a day
Reply:You should check out a dermatologist. MOst likely they are going to tell you to buy Neutrogena face wash and possibly prescribe you medicine for ance. Birth control also helps manage acne too. The toothpaste works if you have a pimple and put the toothpaste on it over night, it should be mostly gone if not totally by the morning.
Reply:Toothpaste is good for a 'quick fix'. But not for all over the face or long term use.

You're going to have to buy facial cleansers, no way around it, sorry.

OR, you can use regular soap, it is not recommended cause it's rather drying, but definetly better than toothpaste every day. Just be sure to moisturize daily.
Reply:toothpaste does dry out pimples and help make them go away, and trust me if u want to get rid of ur acne u need to get a face cleanser, i would advise getting clean%26amp;clear(morning burst is good but i havent tried any of their acne treatment cleansers) and be sure to wash ur face with a face cloth 2-3 times a day and dont scrub hard

edit: k i just read the first answer and i couldnt disagree more, do not waste ur money on proactive and toothepaste isnt a pimple killer but it does help
Reply:Drink more water, and stay away from junk foods. Your diet will show up in your skin! And toothpaste isn't made for skin, and may dry it out. Nothing REMOVES blemishes, only aids in healing/drying them up. Exfoliating may help you.
Reply:I've tried tooth paste it works but after a couple of days it makes your face really dry and around your nose get irritated some one suggested to me to put a soiled diaper on my face I wouldn't ever dare oh and proactive doesn't work
Reply:I have acne too not much works. It helps if you clean your face with antibacterial soup (I use dial) then use rubbing alcohol on your face. That's what I do. And I don't know about the toothpaste???
Reply:invest in a cleanser, even a cheap one. anything to help clear the zits! toothpaste is not an effective way to treat acne. buy something with benzoyle peroxide or salicylic acid to dry up your existing blemishes, and help prevent new ones from forming. a good skin care ritual is to use a cleanser, a toner, a spot cream (for pronounced zits), and a lotion to keep everything even. hopefully this helps!
Reply:You cannot get rid of acne or keep your skin in good shape without cleansing, toning and moisturizing twice a day and exfoliating once to twice a week. Toothpaste is different for everyone, all it does is dry out the blemish so sometimes it will work, but on other it could leave a dry patch.

A big part of getting clear skin is keeping it clean. Which means finding a good cleansing system and using it twice daily.

The only advice I can give you is to drink eight glasses of water daily, and take a multi-vitamin. Although a cleansing system would help speed up the process.

There are many theories behind the toothpaste, and I have to say that it does not work. I have tried it, and it only made it worse.
Reply:YOu do have to buy cleansers to get rid of acne. I use Clean %26amp; Clear cleanser and find one with 1% salytic acid in it. It helps get rid of your acne. And ive tried toothpaste but its never worked for me.
Reply:I don't know if toothpaste helps or not, but if you wash your face with warm water every morning and every night, that will definitely help. Try using sea breeze, it will clean all the dirt and oil off of your face and un clog your pores, which will help clear your complexion up, but it won't dry out your skin. It's a really good product. If that doesn't work you can try Proactive. It's kind of expensive, but it's supposed to work really well. Good luck!!
Reply:drink lots of water sweetie=] it helps

and im on the same situation but its really

working clean your face with any regular soap

it helps! TRUST ME! wash you face every time you

go to sleep.(night and morning)

eat lots of vegetables and fruitss.

and once again dont forget to drink lots of water

and toothpaste makes the pimples less red..so yeah =]]

Reply:You could try to just wash your face with regular soap, but to tell you the truth i think it works better to use facial cleansers, and I've never herd that myth so i cant help you with that.
Reply:the best way to manage acne is through diet, water is key plenty of it and none of it should contain chlorine. the best wash is truly pure water if you purchase a gallon of distilled water and use it and Ivory soap to wash your face with, you will notice an immense improvement in the tone and texture of your skin, be sure to get plenty of minerals in your diet if you feel you are lacking use a multi-mineral supplement zinc and magnesium are fantastic for the skin. also be sure to exercise regularly and don't smoke! smoking is the worst thing you can do for your body not just your skin, if you do, quit now and start breathing again oxygen is the other great cleanser it does work! check with your doctor to be sure there isn't an underlying cause for the acne sometimes there can be a dermotological infection present that requires the use of an antibiotic to clear up. but mostly pure water diet and regular exercise will make most skin problems lessen if not improve dramatically. and don't use toothpaste on your skin it is essentially a polish intended for a much harder surface and can damage soft tissue, that's why it says not to brush to hard or with more than a small amount of it on the brush.
Reply:green tea. use it as a face wash and drink it. a little bit of lime and some oatmeal. with that you can build your own face wash and it works good. i would reccomend buying some face washes, and that would be any of the biore products. they work great and are really cheap. about $5 or so. you can get them at wal-mart or any drug store. they work excellent. don't put toothpaste on your face. it is good to plump up your lips a little bit though. sorry i couldn't help more. good luck though.
Reply:Making the best choices for our bodies, and ultimately our skin, is achieved through good diet/ food, exercise, regular professional treatments, personalized homecare, and above all, a healthy mental attitude.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...
Reply:Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.
