well pores are just little holes on your face basically which can trap dirt on your face. thats why its important to wash your face everyday. if you use a cleanser on your face with warm water, it opens your skin up, then rinse with cold water or use a toner so it closes your pores and keeps them tight so you dont get as much dirt in them throughout the day. theres so many of them that you cant really tell when theyre shut, but you will be able to tell if they have been by how clear your skin is.
