SKIN CLEARING METHOD: It isn't working?!?!?! T__T?

Ok, so what I do is apply Duac in the morning after I wash my face with Cetaphil wash then moisturize (Cetaphil w/ SPF) then afterwards I put on light mineral makeup (Bare Minerals) to cover my acne and blemishes. At night I apply Differin after I wash with the same Cetaphil cleanser. After I eat at night, I take one pill of Solodyn. I've been using this method for 3-4 MONTHS and I've had fewer breakouts but I still have soooooo many bumps on my face and some bigger pimples on my face with sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... many blemishes on mostly my cheeks and forehead. Oh and I have many scars too! I feel soooo ugly, yes UGLY, and nothing seems to work! I always wonder why no one else I am around struggles like this. All these instructions are given to me from my dermatoligist. Can someone tell me some tips on what to do to make my skin clear faster? Oh, %26amp; my makeup sometimes fades away after a while so are there any good makeup suggestions that's good for my skin? TY!

Hey, you're not alone in the "feeling ugly" mode when it comes to acne! I used to have HORRIBLE acne...I hated it and everyone always commented on my face or had some tip of advice, etc, etc.....very annoying and like I didn't already know it was there, right?:-) Anyway, I started using Proactiv a few years ago and it works AMAZING for me......cleared my face up within 3 days.....don't know if you've tried it but it might be worth a shot. And the only makeup I use is TruBlend Compact Powder in Medium Translucent by Cover Girl....and it seems to do ok for me....good luck!:-)
Reply:You may want to look into changing your makeup. I went to Sephoria recently and they said it causes a lot of breakouts in people, including MAC. Also, what are you eating? What you eat does play a major role. I recently had to cut out major sugars and add water to my diet and that has been a major help. I hope things get better for you soon. I know exactly how you feel.
Reply:Have some confidence. There is a girl in my school with a whole lot of acne scars and pimples, yet all the guys fall for her because she's such a sweetheart.
Reply:Oh dear, I feel for you. I am an acne prone myself too. But don't use too many products in your face because this is the most sensitive part in our body. These things are very unpredictable. What I would suggest to you is not to use many products because you won't know what's effective into your skin. If you think Cetaphil or other cleansers that you apply is not working and causes you breakouts then stop it and vice versa. Whatever happens don't be tempted to pop them as it will lead for more permanent scarring.

When you use cosmetics make sure that it doesnt clog pores. Here's some quick facts and myths about acne and hope it helps.
Reply:I used the same treatment as you so dont worry its not only you..... I had severe acne and i felt so ugly. I tried the same treatment as you and it didnt work. Then i got murad and it was a miracle it was clearer in 1 week hope you take my advice and buy murad acne complex! good luck!!! :)
Reply:well I use neutrogena cleansing cloths and I have normal skin and it doesn't dry it out at all.
Reply:Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.
