Is olive skin and tan skin the same?
No, Some Italians, Mediterranean people have olive skin. Fair skin persons get tans. Tans go away if not maintained. Olive skin refers to the natural skin tone.
Is olive skin and tan skin the same?
Olive skin has a hint of green tan skin has a hint of yellow, typically.
Reply:No. A person with fairly white skin can suntan and then have tan skin, but a true olive complexion is a bit different and it is olive all year regardless of sun exposure.
Reply:Olive usually refers to Italians. Tan usually just means, like, going tanning,or having a summer tan.
Reply:Olive and tan are not the same. (I used to be told that I had an olive complexion) Olive is when your skin is a little darker than the average white European.
Reply:no olive is usually more yellow in color and tan is more brown in color
Reply:Having olive skin, is a skin type. The under tone in the skin and the natural color is a light tan. People with olive skin don't burn or at least not easily. Tan skin refers to someone that got a tan and in now a shade of brown.
Reply:I think "olive skin"pertains to the skin type of people from the areas of the mediterranean, from portugal to greece mainly due to their diets, climate and ethnicity.Tan skin is that "browned by the sun.
Reply:olive has a tint of green and tan is brown
Reply:No, olive skin and tan skin are totally different.
Reply:totally different. I am italian and have olive skin, but also have a tan in the summer.
Reply:No, tan has a bronzy color and olive is like a paler, almost (not exactly) greenish version of tan.

Is it healthier to eat the skin on an apple or to take it off with a knife and eat it with no skin?
I like to eat apples with the skin off, because I don't like the skin very much. Though I do eat the skin, sometimes, but very rarely. I was just curious if it's healthier to eat an apple with the skin or without the skin.
Is it healthier to eat the skin on an apple or to take it off with a knife and eat it with no skin?
Depends on where the apple comes from. If it's organic, I say eat the skin because it's nutritious. If not, you may be better off peeling it because it could have pesticides, wax, and who knows what else on it.
Is it healthier to eat the skin on an apple or to take it off with a knife and eat it with no skin?
The skin is a useful source of vitamins and fiber, so it is advantageous to eat the skin if you can stomach it.
Reply:Definitely eat the skin! The skin is nutrients and fiber. You need fiber for healthy digestion and successful weight maintenance. Keep the skin! As with the potato, the skin is the healthiest part!
Reply:no you should eat the skin. it has a bunch of vitamins and stuff on it. just like the white stuff on oranges like the fuzzy stuff has more vitamin c then the actual orgage. stick with the skin !! :)
Reply:You get more vitamins eating the skin.
Reply:the skin of apples is what makes the apple really tasty! as long as you wash the apples first.
try eating apples without skin, seems like there is something missing..
God made the apples' skin for a reason, or he would have just made pears and no apples.
Reply:leave the skin on.
the calorie difference is practically not one,
your benefits include vitamins and fiber, helping your bones and "regularity"
try to leave the skin on for all vegetables and fruits and your fiber intake will be greatly increased, causing your metabolism to work harder!
Reply:Unfortunately, it depends on where you got the apple. There is so much pesticides on fruit now that eating the skin of apples purchased in a big chain store is likely to be unhealthily now a days.
Reply:Really i think its the best bit!
sorry i know its no help but still
= D
Reply:i was taught that the skin is full of vitamins, minerals. be carefull ,it could pose a chocking hazard.
Reply:Eat the skin! It's good fiber.

Lighter patches on skin.?
What would cause small, roughly dime sized patches of skin on the face not to tan and stay slightly lighter than the rest of the skin? It looks like dry skin. What could cause this and besides skin moisturizers, what could remedy it?
Lighter patches on skin.?
If you used steroid medicated ointments for any reason, it will cause lighter skin patches that are noticeable after tanning. Also, if it is dry skin, then you need a rich emollient moisturizer to help. Also, zinc in suntanning lotions sometimes causes these side affects.
Lighter patches on skin.?
This is another form of "sun spots." You can't take them off but you can try to prevent more from coming. Get a good SPF sunscreen and USE it. We are playing hide and seek with the sun and it doesn't work because the sun will bounce off objects and find you even when you think you're in the shade. You pay a wicked price for baking in the sun to get a tan. And you may not see the damage this year but you will see it. You are already seeing some of it.

How do I get whiter skin?
When I was younger, I had whiter skin, right now I am tan because when I was little, I stayed on the sun a lot, and I've been tan about five years now. I want my whiter skin back because I know I look better that way. I know theres cream to get whiter skin, but im scared to use it, Im afraid there can be side affects for that. Is there any other ways to get white skin? Is my tan skin perminent? HELP!! :)
How do I get whiter skin?
I'd advice using sunscreen on a daily basis, also a highly moisturizing cream or lotion and wearing long sleeves from time to time.

Reply:I don't know how to change your skin color but I have the same problem.
Reply:stay outta the sun and if u must go out put on spf 45 sun block
Reply:Stay out of the sun or use high SPF sun blocker.
Reply:Stay inside more. You could move to Ireland or Seattle; some place that rains a lot. I don't know of any cream that will actually bleach your skin. Wear sunscreen with a high SPF when you go outside.
Reply:Boil potato, then mix with fresh milk (no sugar), and make mask weekly. When coming out, use sunblock.
Don't use chemical stuff, it hurts your skin.
Reply:Make shure you don't use that cream. It makes your skin look worse.- I think that tan looks better on people. Besides, if anything you can always do what Michael Jackson did! -Just kidding-don't do that Jackson thing! He's weared.
Reply:some spas have skin bleaching creams but dont use the "do it yourself" kind get it done by a pro. you might want to discuss the posable side effects with a dermatologist first.

My skin is combination. Dry in some areas oily in others. I'm 29 and I break out here or there, but it used to be so much worst. Orhto birth control has helped alot. So now I have dull skin thats combo and I also have pigment marks on my face where pimples used to be. What skincare should I use to make my skin normal again? What would you reccomend for me? Do dermotologists have a skinline they would recommend and also what foundation brand should I use. I use Mary Kay now. I have used Clinique and Bare Minerals already. Please someone help. I am tired of searching and not finding what I am looking for. Thanks

If you go to a dermatologist they can give you certain product specialized for your skin type. They also can have these sessions with you that are like acid peels, and some laisic surgery that are a little pricey, but they give you complete and immediate result that are permanant.
Most surgeries are around 200 to 400 dollars, but are really worth it.
Hope this helps.

try the product that is call Mary Kay is real good you are going to like it mom started using it like 4 to 5 mounths and is real working it you should try it. Oh ma mom also sells it ok!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:You might want to see a dermatologist for something special, but ProActiv works really well, especially for combination skin.
Reply:A glycolic peel can help with post acne marks but they are expensive and you'll need to have a series of treatments before seeing any real results. For effective skin care products check out Lush.com they have some mositurizers that really help to wake up the appearance of the skin and even out the skin tone.
Reply:Stridex is the absolute best for covering up rough pigment marks and so is neotrogena pore refinging cleanser. Acne spots are totally normal. Physicians formula is also really good. Also, if you have a trader joes nearby their sensitive skin oats face towlettes are really good.

Nivea Visage sensitive skin range ?
Hi I would just like to know if anyone finds this make in the nivea range any good, I have sensitive combination skin and basically I am allergic to everything I use on my face except just water, but my skin is really paying for it now, I have tried clinique and other expesive products and irritate my skin even more that other I have tried.
I have used the nivea gentle cleansing wipes in the dry and sensitive skin range and find these to be really good, but im looking for a moisturiser even thought these do 3 in,1 cleanse tone and moistures, I dont think its the same as doing each one seperatly.
I notice they do a sensitive frangrance free cleanser and moisturisers now , are these any good and do you notice and improvement after a while of using these.
Thanks for your help.
Nivea Visage sensitive skin range ?
Hi, I'm a teenager, 14 years old and I have used the nivea blue line, It was a little drying even though I have combination skin too and I was scared because the Refreshing cleanser had sodium laureth Sulfate and it is known to be a harmful toxic and is known as a carcinogen. So I started using the pink line, the sensitive skin and it's great! The cleanser leaves your skin soft and leaves you with a clear complexion. The toner is so soothing and is gentle.. It is great for eliminating impurities but I think the Rich moisturizer is a little greasy for my skin because I but on too much so I put on really little. The thing I love about the whole line is that it's all aloe vera and chamomile! Great for oily skin.. The funny thing is that I don't even have sensitive or dry skin and I use this line..
P.S. Sorry for all the grammar mistakes, it's late at night :D
Nivea Visage sensitive skin range ?
If you have sensitive skin, do not use facial washes or soap; instead use a light, hypoallergenic cleansing lotion. Use a moisturizer to strengthen your skin and provide a barrier against irritants. Make sure you use an non perfumed moisturizer, which will not irritate your skin.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...

Canned Salmon - skin & bones?
I've never in my life eaten salmon - fresh or canned, but I just bought a can of it, and am wondering... if all the nutrients are in the ksin and bones - why do all the recipes say to remove skin and bones? Also, if the skin and bones are safe to eat, are the bones very sharp and/or crunchy from canned salmon???? I don't plan on cooking the canned salmon (just want to nake a dip with it), but is it safe to leave in the skin and bones????
Canned Salmon - skin %26amp; bones?
I always take out the pieces of skin and most of the bones, they can be a bit crunchy. I just like my salmon better without. If you're making a dip, a little bit of the bone won't even be noticeable. Just make sure you mix it up good before adding the other ingredients. Use a fork, it works best and is easy to clean up.
Canned Salmon - skin %26amp; bones?
The bones of salmon are not edible. I don't think you'll find bones in the canned salomon. The skin is ok to eat. Some fish do have edible bones. Canned sardines and herring both do and these fish are high in Omega 3 oil.
Reply:Eat it all. No problem. I like to drink the broth it is canned in.
Reply:It would be safe to leave in the skin and bones, but your dish would not look nearly as nice. Also - the bones are kinda crunchy which would ruin the texture of the dip. ......... For a good recipe - remove all bones and skin - add 2 heaping tablespoons of flour and 1 egg. mash and mix well. Make into patties and fry. mmmmm good stuff.
Reply:The bones are edible, they are really soft. I remove the skin and bones because to me it's just gross.:)
Reply:It's safe - and the bones are soft. They actually are a great calcium source.
