Why do ppl tan when its very very bad for ur skin?

no offense but alot white girls and some other light races of girls tan their skin over and over and they just come out looking fake and nasty and krusty looking and orange. seriously they look like their skin is about to peel off their bodies or porn stars. please dont tell me porn stars are trendsetters cuz if they are then wat the **** is our world coming to? guys like natural beauty on girls not this fake image they try to paint and pry on ther bodies to be sexy when the truth is u highly increase ur risk for skin cancer cuz u r double tanning. u tan anyway fro mthe sun so why kill ur skin even more. any change in skin color is unhealthy according to my doctor. salon tanned skin can never be as soft and silky as natural skin even if u use the same skin care products cuz tanned skin is seriously damage. the change in color is the damage so why do it???????? please explain this weird behavior! lol

It really feels great to get a little sun. I always feel good afterwards and a great tan makes me glow and I feel vibrant after getting a little tan.

I go to the salon to get a base tan to avoid the burn from the sun. I'll pass on putting chemicals on my body on a daily basis. GEEZ can you see the money they are making from the HYPE? Sorry hun but the sunblock biz is making more money than the salons :) And the orange color you refer to is not the tan from the salon, a good majority of lotions have a bronzer in it that's what causes the orange fake look, I do not use those kind~ so I do agree with ya on that!

Reply:Being tan apparently means you look good. I really don't understand that. I tanned when I was a teenager before I found out how bad it was. Now I wear an SPF 50 and cover up as much as I can when it's not like 100 degrees out. Tanning now means you look older and could get skin cancer later. I don't know about you but when I'm 30 I don't want to look 50.

Reply:OMG, You're totally right. And then, back when people were fierce racists against hispanics, and darker skinned people, (some still are), they still got tanned! Little tiny hypocrites!!!! Natural is in. Artificial is out. Why can't anyone get that? If you really wanna get tan, GO SWIMMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put sonblock on, then hop in the pool. Not only will it improve your strength/ shape, but it will give you a NATURAL tan.
