Is your skin better/worse while on birth control?

i have been taking birth control pills for about 7 years now. i stopped taking it this month, a few weeks ago, and my skin has gone crazy. it is so gross, i have never had a problem with oily skin even when i was a teen but even since i stopped with the pill my skin has gotten gross. i'm going back on it next month. does anyone else have this problem?

my skin was a little better, but not enough to stay on birth control. Give your body some time adjsut to not being on the pill - it takes 1-3 months, just like it takes you to adjust getting on the pill. You'll have a hard time gettign back on the pill too...just wait it out a few more months b/f starting the pill again to see if it helps.

no i stopped taking birth controll pills and my skin cleared up maybe it depends on what birth control pills you take
Reply:Yes, I experienced the same thing. The birth control pill cleared up my skin while I was taking it, but afterwards I needed the help of a dermatologist. Also, Oxy-10 is wonderful on zits...it really does work. Best wishes.
Reply:Mine is better now. I take ortho novum 1/35 I think. But I have to be aware of my blood pressure when on the bcp. Because of my age, I'm 39. But I did have the skin problem before. I didn't get acne until after I turned 25. Thanks, huh?
Reply:Yes some birth control pills will make your skin worse. However orthro tri cyclin will clear it up. It is made for women who have skin issues. It has my skin looking great.
